It's Finally Tuesday: Live Blogging Rock Week on American Idol Featuring Slash and Keri Kelli

In case you are not familiar, American Idol is on tonight - and the theme is rock, baby! Remaining contestants Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen will perform rock songs this week - and get guidance from Slash. Helping Slash is longtime friend of Bring Back Glam! Keri Kelli, plus drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Chris Chaney.

Yep, Idol has pulled out the big guns. Slash has Tweeted about his AI experiences for the past several days and even singled out Adam as a great talent. Keri agreed that Adam is a great singer in an email to yours truly. Sadly, no one would spill when it came to song choices - so we all have to wait and watch.

With all this Glam epicness about to be bestowed upon us, how could I not devote special coverage to this event? I'll be live blogging the show to the best of my abilities.

I'll start a new topic and keep it updated as the show progresses. After the broadcast is over, I'll be voting for Adam Lambert (because, really, who else can sing better than him except maybe Axl Rose and Rob Halford?) and I hope you do the same.

Tomorrow's "results show" will feature some special rock performances as well.

For now, read the rest of my Idol pre-coverage at Noisecreep. The show airs tonight at 8 pm ET on Fox.

Well have fun.

I'm not even going to bother with Adam bashing. Good luck to him and all the AI contestans.

Slash. I will admit he's got some iconic stature held over from the 80's and 90's but he hasn't been relevent in years. His best work was easily with GNR and he really impresses me as someone with a fair bit of talent that got really, really, really lucky and managed to stay alive long enough to milk his own name for as much as possible. Sorry, not buying it.

Good to see that there's a whole cottage industry evolving around "hey I played with ____".

I imagine that at some point we will be seeing Slash star in own reality show on VH1 doing something even more stupid than this gimmick to ruin his legacy and name.
