Breaking News: Kix Opens for Judas Priest!

Earlier this week, Whitesnake officially left the Judas Priest tour. Whitesnake front man David Coverdale is dealing with some serious throat issues and doctors told him not to sing for at least two weeks.

I can't say who will replace Whitesnake on all the remaining shows, but I can confirm Kix will open for Judas Priest on Saturday, August 22 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland. If you are a fan of both Kix and Priest, this is an exceptionally rare chance to see both bands in action.

Pop Evil performs before Kix. Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.

BAD ASS!!! And this will certainly sell more tickets to this show since it is in KIX's hometown!

Yeah Yeah Yeah. I have tickets for the show and was disappointed about Whitesnake dropping out. Not much of a Pop Evil fan. Having Kix play before the Priest just made my day. Time for the big bottle of Jack Daniels and a cold shower.

CRUE FEST is the same Day! Too bad, Crue gets my ticket here. Why see Kix 100 yards away when you can see them up close and intimate on their September dates? Kix is a Bar Band, not an arena band. Plus it is NOT Kix with David Cassidy playing bass. Where's Donnie Purnell!?

And Baltimore isn't their hometown, Hagerstown is, Jesus, get it right!

Dr Al everyone knows KIX is not "actually" from Baltimore but that is "their" hometown...and seeing KIX on a big stage is cool as shit since we always see them in clubs. If you were at M3 then you know what i mean...and while Donnie is a hell of a bass player and song writer, the band is as tight as ever with Mark on bass.

This sucks. I have already seen Kix twice this summer, M3 and Rocklahoma. Going to see them in September at Rams Head. I REALLY wanted to see Reb Beach and Whitesnake - haven't seen the Snake live in 20 years. DANG!

Actually Kix is from N.E. PA. They hit it big when they moved to Md.

You're right BUZZ, that other Dr Al post is not from me, The Kix show last night was one of the best shows I've seen in a while. I hated to miss Cruefest especially since Godsmack and Charm City Devils were also playing, but when they announced Kix was playing at Merriweather everybody knows I would switch to that!!!

WOW, that other "Dr Al want-to-be" is really rude. The real Dr Al has seen Mark play in other bands for many years and knows he's a great musician. Nothing against Donnie, but bands do change members sometimes.
