'Need Your Lovin' - A Fantastic Tesla Video!

I posted the video for Tesla's “Need Your Lovin'” on my Facebook over the weekend but I think it's worth sharing here. I consider the video for “Need Your Lovin'” fairly obscure. The song is from the 1994 album Bust a Nut. Despite timing, the album charted fairly high on the Billboard chart – but by the time “Need Your Lovin'” became a single in 1995, MTV wasn't exactly playing bands like Tesla in hot rotation.

Popular or not, I have to say the video for “Need Your Lovin'” is basically fantastic. Watch as Tesla mocks every rock n' roll cliché.

Didn't even know a video existed for that great tune. The whole Bust a Nut album is good as with every Tesla album. One of the most underrated bands of all time. ANd does Jeff Keith age ?

"Mocks?" More like having their cake and eating it too. Love the band, love the song, but self-aware or not, the vid is about as useless as every other vid from that era. It had all been done by that point, so "meta" was the only way a self-respecting director could go, I guess.

I never saw that before. That was great! Gotta love a band that doesn't take itself too seriously and isn't afraid to poke fun at themselves or a genre in general. Always liked these guys, as they always struck me as a blue collar, down to earth band.

Tesla is a great band. Bust a Nut is one of my favorite cd's. And they keep getting better.
And to GNR, I don't think Jeff does age. His voice is still one of the best in rock.
