Aerosmith Will Headline Download

I guess things are all better in the Aerosmith camp. The band - with Steven Tyler - will headline Download 2010, alongside Rage Against the Machine and AC/DC. Does this mean Aerosmith will tour again soon? Or was the money even too good for millionaires to pass up? I've got a lot of questions surrounding this announcement. Sadly, there wasn't much info provided. If you're lucky enough to attend Download, then you already know the festival is set for June 11-13 at Donnington Park in the UK.

Just added late today: Thirty Seconds to Mars, Stone Sour, Billy Idol, Lamb of God and Five Finger Death Punch.

So they found a new singer named Steven Tyler? Weird.

*scratches head*

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to hear that they're planning ahead... But I have soooo many questions about the last few months.

I've always been a big believer in the band's private business being the band's private business - but somebody needs to clarify SOMETHING here. There were too many public statements thrown about in the closing months of 2009, and a lot of that was just left hanging. If they've gone from tabloid spats solid band again, it would be nice to know that that transformation is genuine. Otherwise, as you say, I think that a lot of people will see this as a cynical exercise in revenue-gathering before the divorce...

*worried frown*

Oh, and I'm right hacked off that I don't live in the UK, because Aerosmith, AccaDacca, RATM, and Lamb of God on the same bill is really too good an opportunity to pass up.

Hopefully, for tyler's sake, the stage won't be too high off the ground.

its not too entirely difficult for a band who is not talking to each other to meet up 10 minutes before taking stage to hand each other the same set list (I doubt this is ever a group decision for Aerosmith) that they always play, play for 90 minutes, and then to walk off stage and not see each other for 6 months all while signing a pay check for playing in front of 100,000 people at Download.

Please play the entire "Rocks" album and also release "Rocks II" before Download, too!

I hear ya Metalboy!! Think about this. Get Your Wings, Toys In The Attic, and Rocks were released back to back to back, without a bad song on any of them IMHO, and they were written and produced while the band was spiraling towards well confirmed addictions.Amazing when you think about it.

Yeah, Gary, so true!

Aerosmith's Glitter Twins just didn't know how to keep it "under control" like Page and Richards, hahaha!!!

Did you read the book, "Exile On Main Street"?

Let's put it this way...

"There's Alive, There's Dead and There's Keith Richards."

Oops, Gary, I meant, "Toxic Twins". She's I'm fried...
