'Standing in the Shadows' Vs. 'Long Way to Love'

Recently, Dizzy Dean Davidson announced he was rejoining Britny Fox. The band apparently has a new record deal and will release a studio album of all new songs. Admittedly, this news surprised me. Britny Fox has had a slew of lineup changes and Davidson last recorded with the band around 1989. So, I think this is more proof glam is back. Anyway, I was listening to Britny last night and was thinking about "Standing in the Shadows." Is it me, or is the song built on the same riff as "Long Way to Love?"

Regardless, "Long Way To Love" is one of my fave Glam Metal "Love Songs" of all time! I was lucky enuff to see Britny and Warrant at Limelight back in the day (Warrant opened!). Unreal!

News that Dean is back in the band is shocking and a welcome change! Ive seen BF several times over the last few years and they just seemed like a 2nd rate cover band with only Billy Childs being the original member. It may actually be, dare I say, EXCITING to see the Fox next time they come through town?!?!?

Last I read, he was finishing up a solo album that sounded nothing like glam, and was planning a tour to support.
I enjoyed the Fox for what they were. Part of arguably my best college road trip - Charlottesville to Roanoke for Ratt, Kix and Britny Fox - first time seeing all of them.
Well, actually my best road trip concert was also Roanoke for Vai-tsnake, Winger & Tangier. Followed by a night at Sweet Briar girlschool.
