Let's Talk About Kill Hannah!

Would you consider Kill Hannah a Glam band? They are probably alternative by record-label designation but they sure look and sound Glam to me. Of course, I'm thinking of a mix of 70s T. Rex or Bowie and Motley Shout at the Devil-era Glam. This isn't Faster Pussycat by any stretch of the imagination.

Kill Hannah formed in 1993 and since that time has had a slew of member changes (also a hallmark of many Glam bands!)

While Kill Hannah would probably fit in on the road with Motley Crue or even Def Leppard, it seems like the band most normally tours with emo or alternative acts like The Smashing Pumpkins and Chevelle. (Kill Hannah has toured with HIM and Papa Roach, though, further strengthening my thesis that they are a Glam band).

Don't know Kill Hannah? Get familiar.

I like Kill Hannah. Not sure that I'd call them glam, certainly not 80's glam. Actually, I'm not sure what I'd call them as they are all over the place. Some of their stuff is quite heavy, while others is almost techno in nature. IMO, their strongest track is I Wanna be a Kennedy -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S99AukhkgW4

I saw them open up for Alice in Chains & Velvet Revolver in 2007 and they seemed a bit out of place, but were still pretty good.

I love, love, LOVE this band! Im hoping it was my recommendation that pushed you to check them out, Ally.. They have a very unique sound. I really dig them. Theyre really not glam, but still really good. I saw them open for another of my favorites, 30 Seconds To Mars, a couple years back and saw them do a small intimate show this year in Newport, Kentucky.

I like 'em!

I'd say they aren't quite Glam Metal. Only a handful of the newer band's today can lay claim to that honor like Reckless Love, Hansel, Vains of Jenna, Dynazty, Loud'n'Nasty, The Poodles, Dirty Penny, Miss Crazy, Crash Diet, The Last Vegas, Mad Margritt and Steel Panther (though they are more of a comedy novelty act rather than a band that's really "living it") to name a few off the top of my head.

Though Kill Hannah do display some qualities of 80's/90's Glam Metal like clean sounding E-chords and some elements of song structure, they really do have their own sound, sort of an 80's Glam Metal/70's Glam Rock hybrid.

Still, they ROCK and it's a good tip, Kenny and Al!

p.s. Can't go with ya on 30 Seconds to Mars, K.O. Too much of that typical standard issue Emo whining going on, IMHO. What I want to know is, "Who is the next Danger Danger?!", hahaha!!! Hey, Kenny, did I mention Babe Blu and also Rock Boulevard? You'll love 'em and so will everyone else! Well, everyone, who's into old school total Glam-Bam-Bam Metal (not you drive-by Iron Maidenites, hahaha!!!) We are talking CHEESE of the HIGHEST order!
