I'm Enroute to M3!

Early this morning, I'm flying to Baltimore, Maryland for the M3 Rock Festival. I'm planning on meeting a lot of you guys there, so if you see me, don't hesitate to come and say hello!

My big goals of the weekend? Hang with friends of course, but also rock out to Kix (tonight!), Mr. Big and Whitesnake. I'm also really curious about Hurtsmile.

After the festival, expect a full recap and plenty of photos. For immediate news, please follow me on Twitter @bringbackglam -- I'll have set reviews and funny stories all weekend long. Now, let's just keep our fingers crossed for sunny skies and no rain! If you want to meet and don't see me, Tweet me.

Rock on people. Oh and if you live close and don't have tickets - get on down to Merriweather Post Pavilion. Seats are left, and the lawn is always an option.

Well, if last night's pre party show, with Wildstreet is any indication of the weekend's craziness....then Bring IT. What a great time in Columbia, MD last night. Sin 4 Sin was really good. I especially like their lead singer, because he had really cool gutteral rocker sound. Baby Jane also rocked it out. They've opened for Kix recently, and I really dig their energy, too. The lead singer has pipes. Prior to their set, I chatted with the lead guitarist and bought him a brew. Nice fellow.
Finally, the boys from NY, NY; WILDSTREET. This was the first time I'd seen them, since their new lineup change, and boy was I impressed. With the addition of Ian MacPherson from Dirty Penny, the band is now complete. He flat out kills it. Erik sounded great last night blaring out his trademark screams and his unique lead singer sound. The new songs translate super well in a live setting. My favs were Hot Lixx and Poison Kiss. During their raucous set, the packed crowd was going crazy.
I also chatted with Aaron Joos, the other new guitar player. He was very nice, as well. Finally, I could not leave out my boy Ali. Ali is from my home area of Western PA, and I wish him the best.
I have been pulling for these guys since ROK 09, and I cannot get enough of their Party Anthems. I believe that because they are one of the hardest working bands and have great talent writing their tunes, that this band will make it big. Promote the shit out of these guys. A big thank you to D-Toxin for organizing this amazing party and Retro Active for giving away amazing raffle prizes, T shirts, and more.
Now.....for Jetboy, LA Guns, Warrant, and the Dirty Boys from the Underground.....K I X

Have a great time Allyson and am so bumbed about having to be out of town for for and missing this festival...can't wait for you updates and looks like there is going to be a great crowd each night as only lawn seats are available now for BOTH days. KIX is going to kill it tonight headlining and playing in front of 8-9 thousand adoring hometown fans!!! Wow i am so bummed about missing this! Well lets hope next year my company's annual meeting is not the same weekend as M3!

Bri! Thanx for the update! I knew Wildstreet was gonna be KILLER as I've been crankin' their 1st album since it's debut.

Dang! I'm eating my Metalheart out I missed it cuz I wanted to be at this event as much as I wanted to be at M3!

Well, at least KixRules and myself can get updates from The Glametal Troopz on the ground!

They say, "Be there, or be square!"

I would hope KixRules and myself can get a pass on this one.

We'll be there next year and I can't wait to hear everyone's postmortem reviews and comments in the aftermath!

I wish I wasnt poor and didn't live a good 12 hours from the nearest rock festival. Those are the cons of living in Indiana, poor and too far from festivals. Have a great time everyone who is going.

Hope everybody has a great time. I REALLY wanted to go again this year. I've been dying to see a few of these bands, and this was the perfect opportunity. I'm only an hour away, but a family obligation (important one!) takes priority, so no M3 this year for me. :(
