'17 Girls in a Row' - New Steel Panther

Time to discuss a new Steel Panther track. Today it's "17 Girls in a Row" from the upcoming Balls Out. I like the song. Hate the cover art. Discuss.

Cover art is kind of a ripoff of the original Slippery When Wet album. I probably wont buy the physical thing anyways so cover art I dont really care about. The song, is actually the radio edit so there is more to it, just had to be slimmed down for radio. Good though. I wish samples would come up though.

HAHA! I actually like the cover. But then again...I'm a dude. I can see what Mike is saying but this is very different than the Slippery album. There's a lot more boobage here and giant anal beads. Original Slippery didn't have that lol. PLUS THE SHOCKER MAKES AN APPEARANCE! lol

Okay, I admit I was as amused as anyone else with the first CD, but its time for them to go away I think. This is getting real old, real fast.

I'm with Jeff, this one trick pony needs to be put out to pasture. I like the opening riff the first time I heard Sammy Hagar play decades ago.
You know there are bunch of guys in the 40's wishing they used that album cover back when they were in bands.

I never got this band. The singer was a DLR impersonator and was in LA Guns for a cup of coffee, and the guitar player was in Halford's Fight.....and now they mock the scene they failed in? Pass.

Wow. So many haters of the Panther. These guys are awesome and can do no wrong. I think a few of you need to lighten up. Its FUN. And theyre not making fun of the scene, the love the scene. Sheeeesh..

These guys have actually gotten better. The songs are better in every respect than their older stuff. Great compositions musically, along with excellent vocals, production AND musicianship! Now if they could just get a little more subtle and clever with the lyrics -- more between the lines, if you will.

Same goes for their cover art. They could do something much funnier than this overly literal interpretation of the title. Too "See and Say" visually. They've got the riffs and all the rest together, now they need to get funnier.

Maybe they should retain some co-writers like that dude from Zodiac Mindwarp or Stanley from Life Sex & Death. Now those characters are FUNNY!
