In Which Tom Keifer Releases New Music

Holy Glam! Out of the blue, Tom Keifer just released new music! Tom released two songs, "Solid Ground" and "The Flower Song" via his website and also his new Facebook page.

There weren't any YouTube clips of the song yet, so you'll have to go to Tom's website to listen. basically both songs sound like Heartbreak Station-era Cinderella. There's also a bit of a country twang as well (just a little, not too much).

It's interesting that Tom decided to release a couple solo songs instead of working on something with Cinderella, but I'm just happy for the new music. Maybe a solo album will actually see the light of day. It's been promised to us for years now. A couple months ago, Tom officially announced his solo record would be released (but I remain skeptical). Here's that press release from back in August:

August 20, 2012 -- Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Tom Keifer is finally releasing his long-awaited and highly anticipated solo album in the Spring of 2013 after entering into a partnership with Merovee Records (a joint venture with Worldwide Pants, Inc.). The as-yet-untitled collection of 14 new songs ranges from intimate, organic, acoustic tracks to driving hard rock. It embraces the blues, rock and country roots that have always been present in his unique sound that has generated the sale of over 15 million records worldwide.

The upcoming release is a raw, introspective look at the roller coaster ride that has been Keifer's life for the past 15 years. From being told that he would never sing again as a result of a partially paralyzed left vocal cord, to the emotional and personal battles that followed, his solo debut is a story of perseverance, a testament to the power of passion and will, when combined with a true love of music.

Cinderella will play the Monsters of Rock Cruise March 2013.

The issue of The Supreme Court and the fact that the President selects the Justices who serve for life is more than a political issue -- It is the defining issue of our time that will effect our quality of life for decades.

And this is why it is not wise to elect a Republican as they tend to vote in people with idealogical convictions as opposed to moral ones. Let's keep the country a little more Rock and Roll and a little less Square, shall we?

. . . I am only writing this to point out that I have nothing left to say on this issue (if there was some sort of emoticon for "gobsmacked" I would use it).

Meatal boy, I dont understand how you can say its Racism when Whites vote for Romney solely because Obama is black, when 98% of blacks vote for Obama because he is black. That is RACISM my friend! Its funny how people cant see both sides.I have spoken to many White people who are voting for Obama because he IS black. Cant vote for another old white guy. That also is racism. So drop it. Let the best canditate win!

I do see it from both sides.

"I'm the Electric Eye".

You know d*mn well what kind of Racism I'm talking about. And the best man WILL win despite all the chickensh*t lies and veiled Racism so much of your party espouses in a desperate, slash and burn attempt to win!

It will be a pleasure when the cooler guy is the one handing Led Zeppelin their KENNEDY Honors, not that frickin' Mitt Phoney.

Oh my! Dude, whatever you win! Yes the cool guy is the best choice! I'm done! Let's see next Wednesday. But why do you dodge my point on blacks voting for Obama because he is a black? Or is that not true? Please don't commit suicide next week because you are going to majorly disappointed! Polls don't lie and your boy is slipping fast!

Dude, not dodgin'. They aren't just voting for the guy because he's black. They wouldn't do that if it was Allen West running. They voted for Clinton. It's the Policies, Bro.

You, actually, sir, are on record making it clear that your vote is racially motivated. You still need to apologize to Allyson for saying what you did.

But no matter. THE Best Man WILL prevail and you will see, in fact, he's had us on the correct track all along. And we will protect your right to free speech along with the other rights that would otherwise be called into scrutiny with Wrongney in place. Why on earth you would vote for that liar and against your own personal protections is beyond me.

But never fear, we're looking out for you.

p.s. Don't forget your Mitt Phoney frickin' dodged the draft twice and the actually had the audacity to Protest IN FAVOR of the Vietnam War! Do you really think our President would have done that? No. He probably would have enlisted -- not even been drafted.

Or, because he's smart and can frickin' catch flies with his bare hands, would have been a civilian over in Saigon doin' sh*t to protect our country in ways neither of us even know about, not even you. Remember, he was too old to go to war in The Gulf.

But he was fighting another war -- In Chicago, trying to improve the quality of life and education for people who otherwise never would have had a chance.

And now he's going to continue even fighting for you, Bro, and make the privileged like yer frickin' Wrongney help pay for it! And Zeppelin will get their damn Kennedy Honors from someone who actually gives a damn!

Huh-uh-lo-oh!

Metal boy, you are crazy to think blacks aren't voting for Obama because of race! Record numbers of blacks came out to vote and 98% voted for Obama. Same thing happened With David Dinkins in NYC. I get it Blacks have gotten a raw deal in life for a long time, but let's not pretend and say its the issues! Also, what record are you talking about about me voting against Obama because he is half Black! That is absurd! So did I vote 4 years ago for Obama because he is half white? No, I thought he would be good for our country, I was wrong and want a change. Also, I don't know what I need to apologize to the moderator for except maybe going on about this election, I never said anything that warrants an apology! Tell me! So you think Obama would have enlisted? I don't think so but we will never know so I can't comment. But you are speaking to someone who did enlist, fought for our country with plenty of black soldiers and had plenty of black partners in the NYPD that I put my life on the line for. So check yourself with painting me as some kind of race hater. I call it like I see it guy. So maybe your get your wish and have your COOL president giving out Your precious Kennedy honors to Zeppelin as our country crumbles from the inside out!

Our country will continue to steadily rebuild under Obama AND rights will be protected. You are on record here dude making racially charged comments about Obama.

Why on earth would you vote for Wrongney? -- Someone who has none of your best interest in mind. You are a pawn of the Carlisle Group and their investments in companies like KBR and Halliburton.

Tell me, Dude, do YOU really want to send more boys over to the Middle East -- this time, Iran, to make them eligible for the contest to wind up in a body bag? Because, if that's what you want to do, go ahead and VOTE for Wrongney.

I would think you would want to see war end after what you personally went through over there. And as far as being a cop -- Do you want to see The Policemen's Union done away with? -- Because that's EXACTLY what Wrongney wants to do!

Look, I appreciate your valor for our country both overseas and on the streets of New York (where I lived for 13 years) but if it was the second Gulf War you fought chances are you never needed to go over there to begin with.

Obama will make sure your kids won't have to fight unecessarily this time.

And for that, HE is COOL!

Metal boy, if Obama wins I hope your right with everything you say! Let's drop it completely, the election is next week and our opinions aren't changing on the subject. I knew what I was getting in to when I signed up more than 20 years ago and would do it again tomorrow if needed! Again, don't know what your talking about with racial comments about Obama? Good luck next week!
