The Darkness Announce New Studio Album

The Darkness have confirmed their third studio album! It will be called Hot Cakes and will hit stores August 21 via Wind-Up.

It's been seven years since The Darkness released a new record and I'm very excited for this one. In fact, I'm getting excited to see the band at Rock on the Range in just a few days. After playing a few festivals, the band is going on tour with Lady Gaga, which is obviously huge because Gaga plays to massive crowds. The way I see it, this is just some great exposure for Glam!

HUGE!

Looks like I'll finally be seein' GaGa!

p.s. Sure wish M3 coulda stuck 'em on when Cinderella backed out. I'd like to think it was scheduling conflicts but I have a strong suspicion the M3 promoters just aren't savvy enough to ever have a thought like including Darkness on the bill cross their minds.

Saw them when they first toured. Great thing was they brought The Wildhearts with them. They are in Australia when M3 is happening so, don't think it was possible. Would have been a great add to the line-up though.
New single is great too,
