Help My Friend With His Book Project

My friend, photographer Vernon Gowdy, is working on a book. His goal is to produce a book covering a decade of Texxas Jam festivals. The book will be called Texxas Jam: 1978-1988 and will be mostly pictorial and full color. Vernon thinks he needs $8,000 to get this project done. In the past, he's been a major producer of the Rocklahoma coffee table books as well as Adventures of a Rock Photographer, Part 1 and Part 2.

I'll send him something. This project is far cooler than any Rocklahoma Book because of the hipper aspects of the nostalgia of the era spanning the decade he's highlighting, '78-'88.

Just "The Look" alone of any photography from that decade will be so much more interesting than anything from the era of Rocklahoma.

This is an awesome project! I attended 5 of the Texxas Jams and they all were incredible. Hopefully this is funded.

Really nice guy.. good photographer too. I always find a few minutes each year to chat with him at Rocklahoma. Hope he is able to reach his goal.

And thanks Allyson for the link.
