Do they deserve R&R Hall? Eh, I have a few hard rock genre bands I would consider before them (Priest, Purple) But who cares; that institution is a polar opposite of what R&R stands for anyway.

Congrats Heart. Deep Purple get some female sisters in the band or something deemed unique by the aristocracy of R&R.

Been saying for about 35 years now that Ann has "THE BEST VOICE IN ROCK & ROLL",male or female. I could listen to that woman sing a technical manual for a frickin' fax machine and it'd make me smile!

Not a huge heart fan myself, but what an amazing voice.

Gary, I'm with ya about Ann Wilson. I remember hearing Magic Man back in the 70s. I heard that voice, and I knew I wanted to do something naughty to her, I just wasn't old enough to know what. :) Seriously though, she is incredible. I also happen to agree that it is absolutely shameful that Deep Purple isn't in the HOF, but this is Heart's moment so I'll try not to sabotage it.

And agreed about Deep Purple.It's a f*cking travesty that they're not in.I'm thunking Heart gets in because they went a long way into breaking women into the hard rock genre,which had mostly been a "boys only" club up to that point.

Again, like others here have just said and I'm reiterating, Heart certainly do deserve the honor, just not before Deep Purple.

Good to see Howard Leese, Steve Fossen, Mike Fisher, & Micheal DeRosier all back on stage! Those guys are the original "heartbeat" of the REAL Heart. So much more than just a backup band for Ann & Nancy.

And yeah, I can already name the 5 bands that the R&R Hall of Shame needs to induct to have any credibility:

I totally get Sue Innis boinking on the electric piano behind them. She deserves to be there, as she helped co-write their lyrics, before they started buying songs outright from Holly Knight, but these other 2 guys?

And, sad to say it, but with Howard Leese & Mike Fisher up there as such excellent guitarists, Isn't it obvious that Nancy was always nothing more that eye-candy? It's like they had to find something for her to do, to justify her existence.

The a*s clown with the Mohawk is none other than Nerd Rocker, Mike McCready, of the Yoddler-fronted UNROCK outfit, Pearl Jam.

The other Seattle Grunge Mafia joining Heart on stage are Generocker, Chris Cornell, of the ever-boring Soundgarden and fortunately, Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains.

And, Ace! You are so right about those bands. In fact they should induct all 5 immediately, without delay!
