2013 M3 Rock Festival Set Times Announced

I won’t be at M3 this year – I have a prior commitment as my husband is running in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon. I expect lots of comments about the festival from those of you attending this weekend. And if something cool happens, you can always tweet me @bringbackglam – I will be with you in Maryland in Glam spirit!

all i gots ta say is that Blackie should have deferred to Kix Friday night. Hometown show not withstanding; Kix will wipe WASP off the stage.

It simply cannot be stated enough how great a live band they are.

Kixchix, I like Kix alot and they alwsys kick ass BUT lets be real, if Blackie brings His A game ( which he should) he has no other U S shows booked, WASP will blow the places mind! If its the full WASP show it WILL leave you with your jaw on the floor!

Anyone need a single VIP ticket? I have an extra.

jack t r- Respect to WASP. But blackie i heard does not play Animal "F" anymore. He probably doesnt even eat meat anymore let alone throw it into the crowd (I knowz it was 1983 when he did that). It"ll be interesting to hear the reviews. Cards stacked against WASP. All the power to 'em if they do rule. But if I were attending Friday night, I want to party; KIX is a party band, playing at home. Regardless, both bands will have motivation to destroy so its a win win

Love/Hate is playing way too early (think it's meant to say AM instead of PM). They should've tucked them in right before Steel Panther

Love/Hate is playing a club in Long Island the same night with Warrior Soul. I agree, I would love to see them play later in the day, even on the side stage.

This is going to be my 3rd M3 in a row, and this is the lightest line up yet. There is not a true headliner to be had. I also agree that WASP is in for a shock trying to follow Kix. MD is Kix country, half the venue wears KIX shirts both days.

Still pumped.

Cannot wait to see WASP..it has been so many years when they opened for Kiss' Animalize Tour. I remember them being CRAZY!!

Here's to a great time with great friends.

I will be there, and I am pumped for BOTH days!

Haven't seen WASP since the 80's, although I agree that Kix should be headlining Friday night in their own backyard. I met Jimmy from Kix on the amazing Monsters of Rock Cruise, and he said that it was no big deal to the band whether they headline or not. Classy. Of course, he also let it slip that WASP wouldn't play unless they could headline, so... Too funny.

But to see King's X, Jackyl, and Loudness (hopefully!) all on Sat, plus Twisted Sister? Priceless. It will be an awesome weekend of great music!

Wow, this festival sure has spiraled down over the past few years. this lineup is really weak. For starters, Kix should be headlining on Saturday night (Friday night at the least). The only bands worth seeing Saturday are Jackyl and Steel Panther. BMB headlining Saturday night, give me a break!

Me and my crew are heading to the show from Cincinnati and we are STOKED. The argument that the lineup is weak is ridiculous. I love the fact that "newer" bands like Tuff, Vixen, and Love/Hate are on the bill instead of the same ol boring bands like they had last year.

KIX is a very smart band.. They actually agreed to play prior to WASP.By playing first they will have a longer set. I wonder what Blackie is gonna think when he sees that KIX actually has a longer set than him. WASP is bringing a full stage show.. one that will take forever to set up and break down. This will cut into the amount of time WASP can play due to the noise laws in Columbia.

Ohh.. and if any of you will be in town on Thursday night... come on out to Sonoma's in Columbia. There will be three great bands playing.. DIEMONDS, STATION, and SIN 4 SIN. If you come up to me at the show and are one of the first 5 people to mention "Bring Back Glam" I will make sure you walk away with a CD or t-shirt. I will not be hard to find.Just ask anyone where you can find "Dave".

To those headed out to Sonoma's on Thursday night.. I'll see you there. For those of you headed to M3 on Friday and Saturday.. Have a great time.. and BE SAFE.

Alright, it's time, BBG!er's for our BBG! Metal Summit:

\m/3!

KIX! KIX! KIX! No doubt, I'm a former "Kixonian from Timonium" (Well, not exactly Timonium), putting myself through listening to "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" almost as equally many times, lunching with "10-10" (He only ate one slice of pizza but didn't finish it), I for one, am all for W.A.S.P. taking the headlining slot.

This is Blackie's bid for relevance, the only W.A.S.P. show booked in the U.S., and if he "brings it", as Jack T. Ripper and Kari (in a previous comment) note, they kick some major a*s!

METALBOY! PREDICTION: It will be W.A.S.P. who will, alas, actually blow KIX off the stage.

Why the turncoat attitude? Simple. Though I love the "Party Metal" vibe of KIX, it is the "Raw Shock Power Punk Mean Metal" of W.A.S.P. I'm ready for.

I'm also ready for the same standout acts Kenny O, with his usual unmatched prowess in Metal Detection, has highlighted...

All from L.A., like W.A.S.P., too! -- Love/Hate (the second best band in the line-up this year!), Tuff (Doesn't get anymore L.A. Glam Metal than that, folks!) and Vixen, the latter having torn the roof off of the Monster's of Rock Cruise Pre-Party this year! They were loud as h*ll, yet delivered their four-part harmonies flawlessly! Needless to say, I was amazed! Looking forward to catching Steel Panther. Though their lyrics lack subtlety to the point of losing their humor, there's no doubt, Panther's songs, musically, are incredible and I can't wait to see them performed!

Rock-It -- I will see you tomorrow night. Kenny O, Brian L, Gator, Chris K, Geo II, Sparky -- you gonna make it to Rock-It's M-Pre Party? Diemonds will blow the roof off of Sonoma's while Station and Sin4Sin will set the stage. See you there!

p.s. Yeah, I really wanted to see a better headliner than Brett Michaels. Twisted Sister's alright but this thing really needed a RATT or Scorpions level band in the final slot. Actually, when ya think about it, M3 was pretty Heavy Duty a couple of years back when it was Cinderella and Scorps back to back with L.A. Guns and KIX also playing the fest along with court jester, Vince Neil Vince, I might feel differently if you played stuff off of "Exposed" instead of having the band do covers while your fooling around backstage with your Blondtourage, as Al likes to call 'em. Speaking of Al -- Al, wish you and Metal Warlock Eric could be there! I will say "Hi!" to Glametal Princess Kari and The BBG! Boyz for ya!

p.s.s.t. Hey, GEO II, if ya still got that VIP ticket at the M-Pre Party, I may have a taker for you. If you want, try contacting Allyson and she might be able to get you my info if she ain't too busy. Thanks and see ya up there, my Metal Brother!

VIP is sold! Thanks for the heads up, Metalboy. I'm sure you understand that I had to unload it while I could.

Yeah, no prob! You at the M-Pre Party? \m/3!

Is this concert being telivised? I didn't see it on AXS tv schedule? Thank you.

Who the hell is JSRG & why are they playing after Steelheart & Trixter? Also, how in the eff are they gonna let the BMB headline? I would def skip Saturday's lineup. Also, Wasp headlining over Kix, in their hometown no less, is a joke. Blackie is a softie now & has went head over heels with the religion crapola. Sundays lineup looks solid except kings x should be the second band that day, they take sucking to a whole new level! Overall...a decent lineup imo. If I lived closer, id definitely go.
