Lzzy Hale Joins Device On Stage At Heavy MTL

David Draiman is best known as the lead singer of Disturbed, but right now he's on the road with his new band called Device. The band's self-titled debut features a cover of the Ozzy Osbourne/Lita Ford single "Close My Eyes Forever." Lzzy Hale of Halestorm sings the female lead. The other day, Lzzy joined David on stage at the Heavy MTL festival to perform the song. I'm a big Halestorm fan, so this is cool to me.

Gary, you are exactly correct. Randy never had a cross word for anyone. He is absolutely the kindest, most gentle person I'd ever met. I never saw him not have time for a fan, either with Quiet Riot, or with Blizzard of Ozz. He esd s bit of a practical joker & did have a wicked sense of humor. I can tell you one really funny example. When Randy auditioned for Ozzy, George Lynch had also auditioned... After Randy auditioned & got the gig, he took his mom with him, went to a gig by George's band X-Citer @ the Starwood.

After X-Citer had played, he went up to George & said "I've got some bad news & some good news... The bad news is, I got the gig with Ozzy. The good news is, you get my job teaching guitar at my mom's music school & it pays $5 a lesson!"

Priceless humor.

WOW That douche from Disturbed couldn't sing his way out of a wet paper bag. The original Lita/Ozzy version is a classic. Plus Lzzy's voice is pretty weak. I saw a youtube video of her singing "Slave To The Grind" with Sebastian Bach and he's like twice her age and he sounded a million times better.
