I Am Done With 'Kickstart My Heart'

The Motley Crue song I never need to hear again is "Kickstart My Heart." Unfortunately, the song is popular and is used in advertisements and at sporting events. The band sometimes opens their shows with the track so I will not be able to completely avoid it. Now the band has a lyric video for "Kickstart My Heart." I do not need to watch or listen but I will share with all of you. Enjoy (I guess).

The original video with the funny cars, crashes, black to white to color, etc... was fascinating and great when it first came out. But yes, I 100% agree over saturated marketing in all phases. Unless you know the lyrics of Slice of Your Pie and the horn section in Rattlesnake Shake between Dr Feelgood and this song, please stop acting like Crue is one of you (emoji for devil horns)

Kind of agree though it depends on what bar I’m in and how drunk I am, when it hits the sound system.

Then again, it sounds pretty good live, POINT BLANK, as I’ve experienced it and hopefully will in Minneapolis this coming tour, along with what I pray will be a new and improved playlist including newer “The Dirt” tracks.

That said, there is a remedy to “Kickstart My Heart” burnout ... Check out Rock Sugar’s “We Will Kickstart Your Rhapsody”, a veritable mash-up masterpiece combining “Kickstart Your Heart” with the best parts of “We Will Rock You” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

In fact, that whole album, is a cure for personal suffering with may occur due to listening to almost ANY overplayed Hair Metal or Hard Rock Classic ... Enjoy!

For me, depends on the mood. Yes, there are definitely overplayed 80's hits that when I'm not in the mood are quick skips on my playlist. This song is one of them. Prayer, Sugar, Jump, Sweet Child etc. all get skipped at times.

Nikki is dropping hints the setlist for the stadium tour will be a bit more varied vs. the last run. Let's hope so. But please please please skip "Like a Virgin" ... they just can't do that to our ears.

Sorry for the big words there BK and my thought pattern not exactly following the bouncing ball like a Nuclear Assault "critical mass" video. The point is when a song becomes as mainstream as kickstart had gotten vs. The coolness of discovering the song as a fan either on an MTV video or the tape deck of your firebird as you just let the whole cassette play. I think that is when we get sick of a song. Like a few mentioned above. I don't need kickstart selling me minivans... I need it at the show on the floor, I need it in my car going a touch too fast down the road, in a pub when I get sick of listening to whatever drivel someone thinks needed to be played on their touch tune jukebox app , etc...

So basically We’re saying the song shouldn’t go away mad, it should just go away...🤓

An ode to clean living by Motley Crue?!?! Heck yes. Gosh darnit. What's not to love? Selling mini-vans or shilling (or is it shelling?) peanuts, this is the Crue at their peak. Too fast for love? Then slow down a scooch, and listen to the true soundtrack to what made the Crue great. I mean, not.
