'Horizon' - New Nickelback Video

At 10 am ET, Nickelback premiered a video for their latest single "Horizon." The track is on the album Get Rollin.'

Honestly I was surprised to see another video for this latest album since it has been out for over a year, but I don't think the same rules apply in the music industry anymore. When you have as much money and fame as Nickelback, you can do whatever you want basically.

"Horizon" is a classic-type Nickelback song with a slower tempo and catchy hooks. It's good.

MTV Was Cool - Even During The Christmas Season

Thank goodness for the Facebook page "Nightmare Nostalgia!" A recent post brings us a jewel from Christmas 1988.

Zakk Wylde and Ozzy Osbourne hosting Headbanger's Ball - all decked out in holiday glory. Love it... and I bet I watched this live back in the day, too.

Michael Monroe U.S. Tour, Tickets On Sale

Just a reminder that the most Glam of them all - Michael Monroe - will be in the U.S. this spring.

He's doing a short tour in April and tickets are on sale now. I can't believe one of the stops is actually in Ohio. Are you going to any of these shows?

The Darkness, 'I Hate Myself' - New Track

The Darkness are back with new music! "I Hate Myself" is a song from their upcoming album Dreams on Toast, due March 28th. This is a fun song and catchy as hell. I dig it.

New George Michael 'Last Christmas' Video!

A holiday surprise! The estate of George Michael dropped a surprise video of the late singer performing "Last Christmas" live in 2006.

The clip was shot during the first European leg of George's 25 Live tour. The tour finally made its way to America in 2008 and I was there (Philadelphia, July 26) - still my favorite concert of all time!

"Last Christmas" was recorded by WHAM! in 1984. The best holiday song ever.

Just Leaving This Here: 'The Piper's Call Live And Around The World'

Reliving that awesome David Gilmour concert in my head! Today the guitar legend himself dropped a live version of his song "The Piper's Call." The video uses shots from around the world on his recent Luck & Strange tour.

"The Piper's Call Live Around The World" is a digital only release and was recorded at The Brighton Centre, Circus Maximus in Rome, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York and edited together by Gilmour, Charlie Andrew and Matt Glasby to form one seamless track recorded throughout the 'Luck and Strange' tour.

I hope there's a pro-shot film of the entire show coming, too!

M3 Is Coming Back... Promises Dates, Bands Soon

M3 Rock Festival is coming back to Columbia, Maryland this year and promises three days of music. No dates or bands yet, but M3 has historically been the first weekend of May. I assume the announcement of Boardwalk Rock yesterday pushed the preemptive post below.

I guess we will know soon enough.
