Geoff Tate To Do 'Operation Mindcrime' In Full For Last Time

Singer Geoff Tate has announced a new tour called Operation Mindcrime: The Final Chapter. During the shows, he will perform the classic Queensrÿche album in full for the last time. There are a lot of dates on the tour, so you have plenty of chances to see the original Queensrÿche singer do his thing with the band's famous concept album.

Tickets are on sale Friday. I'm going to pass on this tour because I've seen Geoff do this show already.

What Is Motley Teasing Now?

Motley Crue is teasing a big announcement for tomorrow. It is not the release of their new EP Cancelled because that is happening on October 4th. Hopefully it isn't another greatest hits package or re-release. Is it another true world tour? That would make sense with the globe in the photo

The social posts below are subtly different. I didn't even catch it at first, but the globe view does differ. I guess we will see tomorrow. I know BKallday is excited!

New Bon Jovi Book Will Celebrate 40 Years

Genesis Publications will release Bon Jovi Forever - a book celebrating the band's 40 years together. Jon Bon Jovi wrote some of the text too, so that is cool. It looks like this will be a nice coffee-table book. It will be signed, numbered and include a 7" vinyl too.

You can register your interest on the Genesis website to have a chance to buy when sales open. No price or official release date information available yet. This will sell out fast.

Positive Doug Aldrich Update

Earlier this week, The Dead Daisies announced that guitarist Doug Aldrich was battling throat cancer. He just had surgery as part of his treatment and apparently it went well. The surgery took five hours and he has a long recovery but it seems like this first step toward getting well is a positive one.

Also a word to everyone feeling the aftermath of Hurricane Helene: I am thinking of you and hoping you get some semblance of normalcy soon. The damage videos are horrific, especially in western North Carolina. Heck, even all the way up here in Ohio we had a massive rain and wind and the power has been out for many for hours and hours and hours.

Crossbone Skully Enlist Nikki Sixx For New Track

Crossbone Skully has a new track called "High On You" and it features Nikki Sixx on bass. The song was produced by Mutt Lange and Tommy Henriksen. Of course Tommy is the singer and main songwriter for Crossbone Skully.

"High On You" is catchy as hell and I love the big chorus. The video doesn't do much for me - and it doesn't feature Nikki, either. Some new music to enjoy this weekend!
