Ticketmaster Lawsuit Final - Check Your Account
The class action lawsuit involving Ticketmaster is now final. The suit was brought because of those awful service fees we all hate. The settlement is for $400 million bucks, paid to members of the class in the form of free tickets and discount codes. When I logged in to my Ticketmaster account last night, I discovered that I had been awarded 17 free tickets and something like 25 discount codes (I sort of lost count on the janky layout).
The suit impacts people who bought tickets via Ticketmaster between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013.
To see if you have some free tickets pending, just log in to your Ticketmaster account and click "active vouchers."
The free tickets will only be eligible on a special list of events and as of this writing, that webpage wasn't loading. I'm holding out for Guns n' Roses at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. When I mentioned that to my husband, he laughed hysterically and told me to keep dreaming.
