Best Albums Of The Decade?

It is time for us to curate a best album of the decade list. I can't believe another decade is about to close but here we are. There have been some great glam and metal albums released over the past ten years and we've talked about a lot of them here. But what are your favorites? What rises to the top for you? The albums that you continue to go back to, year after year? Digital Renegade from I See Stars came out on March 13, 2012 and it is probably my favorite release of the past 10 years. I go back to it each time I run.

The website Louder released their list of the top 50 metal albums of the past decade. Check that list out for inspiration and come back to the comments and let me know your picks for a few faves. I will post the curated list in the coming days.

It's kind of hard to do a definitive list for the decade so I'll just share some of my favorites that I constantly revisit.

Avenged Sevenfold-Nightmare: One of my all time favorites, such a dark personal album for me.
Foo Fighters-Wasting Light: Still holds up and is really fun
LA Guns-the Missing Peace: I played to death when it came out and couldn't stop listening
Arch Enemy-Will To Power: I played to death when it came out too, around the same time as The Missing Peace
Overkill-The Electric Age: No such thing as a bad Overkill album.
Testament-Brotherhood Of The Snake: Insanely heavy, their best in years
Motorhead-Bad Magic: Rest In Peace Lemmy
Anthrax-for All Kings: Worship Music was good but this blows it away
Slipknot-.5 The Gray Chapter: Never thought they would make another album and this was a great return
Hardcore Superstar-Split Your Lip: Still a fun album
Crashdiet-Generation Wild: Their last truly great album

Better late than never ... Observations as I put the list together ... Crazy realization: 2010 was the best year of the decade for Rock & Roll, so we’ll start there, ... I decided to enter my faves one year at a time, one Comment post at a time and then will list my Top 10 of The Decade and then my fave, The Best Album of the Decade, each Comment getting closer and closer to that final outcome. Also, I will be interested to see what others think and please chime in because I will inevitably be wrong or forget something that is completely killer ... That is if anyone even reads any of this, at this point, haha!! ... Standby ...
