Revised Rocklahoma 2025 Lineup Released

This year's Rocklahoma festival looks pretty good. Marky Ramone is playing Ramones tunes, Alice Cooper and Shinedown are headlining. Also playing is The Darkness, Dirty Honey, Mike Tramp's White Lion and Sebastian Bach too!

Rocklahoma takes place Labor Day weekend (end of August for the non-American readers) in Pryor, Oklahoma.

I'm happy to see Paralandra on the bill, big guitars and powerhouse vocals

I am sure all who attend will have a great time. After all, it is Pryor, Oklahoma! I kid. And, Glenn, never heard of Paralandra before. You are right. That Cassandra has some pipes!!! Not sure they are my cup of tea. But they do sound good. Thanks for pointing me to something I never heard. Love that about this site.

But, boy oh boy, this makes me ache, given that I passed up on Rocklahoma . . . each . . . of . . . its . . . first . . . three . . . years. Sigh. I figured I would get around to going. And, by the time I got around to going, the line-ups had got around me and swerved away. My fault.

Thursday night (you know, way down at the bottom) reads like a flicker of what the festival was back in the day. But, heck, maybe a battle of the Sebastians will break out? Friday is every few bands for me, and you can guess which ones (hint: I don't care for Sticky Finger Fruit Punch). Saturday just makes me feel old, like Fan Halen old. Though, to be sure, watching a guy with uncut guitar strings weedle-weedle would be better than listening to him tell me about his sonic revolution (hint: Trunk with a touch more humility and a Harvard degree). Sunday has, well, Dirty Honey and talk-singing Mike Tramp (didn't he say he wasn't going to do this again . . . again?!?!).

Like I said, my fault for not going sooner. And my choice not to go now. I guess I will never get to experience Oklahoma in August. Hope those here--hello! hello!!!!!--that go will post a review or two.

This thing sure does look like an Eddie Trump Special even though there’s no Tesla or Night Ranger … Seems like Friday is the best day to go:

Alice Cooper
The Darkness
The Band Feel
Dorothy
Marky Ramone

Those are the “For Real” legit Rock & Roll bands worth seeing!

You could almost fly out Saturday morning knowing you saw the best bands of the festival, since there’s no one that spectacular to watch on Saturday except maybe Angeles … I just checked ‘em out and they’re great L.A. Sleaze!

So, you could just stay but take Saturday off to recuperate from all the shenanigans you could get into with Dorothy, Marky and the dudes from The Darkness (except Justin Hawkins cuz, like Alice, he’s sober) and The Band Feel Friday night at all the after parties … Maybe someone can get Nita Strauss to ride the mechanical bull … It IS Pryor, after all! … So, wake up Sunday realizing you were just dreaming about Nita Strauss’ bull ride and go eat some barbecue, then drag yer a*s to see Angeles!

Sunday, you’ll be good as new because you’ll have taken Saturday off (except for Angeles) and now you’ll be ready for …

Bruce Dickenson
The Struts
Dirty Honey

Then get the hell out of there ASAP!!!
