Kip Winger Debuts New Concerto Tomorrow

It's going to be a big weekend for Kip Winger. He spent five years working on a violin concerto and it will officially debut tomorrow and Saturday night as performed by the Nashville Symphony. I love this for him and I think it is great that he took a selfie with his name on the marquee.

The name of the concerto is In "The Language of Flowers" and the debut will also be recorded.

No, it's not "Seventeen" but I bet this will rock in its very own way.

I could swear 60 Minutes or CBS Sunday Morning did a segment on him a couple of years ago about him working on a concerto but I couldn’t find anything so I must be confabulating again.

And I certainly DO remember having my mind blown watching a Rick Beato interview with him when it posted on YouTube almost a year ago … The classical music he created is really quite amazing.

Whatever one might think of the Glam Metalish AOR that defines his MTV era, there’s no denying he’s talented … It was obvious the numerous times I saw him at M3 over the years and now even more obvious with his foray into Classical music.

He is an awesome guy. I have had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with him numerous times. The best one I bumped into him in New York City walking down seventh Avenue. We walk together and chatted for about 15 minutes. He is very gracious, funny and humble human being.
