KIX guitarist Brian Forsythe will be on the All Access Live with Kevin Rankin podcast tonight. You can watch on YouTube starting at 7 PM EDT. The YouTube is below.
The show teaser promises stories from Brian's KIX days and an explanation as to why the band decided to call it quits and more.
The collaboration we all needed! Halestorm and I Prevail just released the track "can u see me in the dark?" and it's a banger. It's a nice release after singer Lzzy Hale's successful run as the fill-in singer for Skid Row. That stint really gave Skid Row and Halestorm some nice press.
"can u see me in the dark?" is another great addition to my running playlist. The breakdown is extra tasty (it's at 2:40). Some like it hot. Others like it heavy. That's me. I like it heavy.
This collab between Germany's Electric Callboy and Japan's Babymetal is wild. I first heard "RATATATA" on Octane and I was an immediate fan. There's all kinds of craziness here: metalcore breakdowns, a boy band-type chorus, lyrics in English and Japanese, and so much high energy fun.
Now, there's a video for "RATATATA" too! It's from both acts during a joint performance at Fox_Fest, which is actually Babymetal's own event.
The editing in the video is very fast and there are lots of pans and movements, so if that sort of thing bothers you, take note. "RATATATA" is going to be great for gritting my teeth and pushing up hills!
Incidentally, Babymetal announced a US tour this week - and they are coming to Cincinnati, Ohio for the first time ever!
Bon Jovi's new album Forever is out now. Apparently JBJ's Nashville officially opens tomorrow, too. I honestly didn't know a Bon Jovi restaurant was coming, but it seems cool enough. It's on Broadway in Nashville, TN so crazy expensive real estate right there. Yes, I want to visit this place. Maybe during Bengals vs. Titans weekend this fall!
Skid Row will release their first-ever live album on September 20. The album is called Live In London and features Erik Grönwall on vocals.

Ronnie '10/10' Younkins of KIX seems to be doing a lot better these days. He has had a long fight for sobriety and it seems like he is in a good place now. Ronnie just launched a new Facebook and he is teasing new music too. Anything in the style of Aerosmith Rocks is going to be a winner in my book!
