A Jog of the Memory

Well, I’ve written this entry three times now because my own site hates me, I swear.

Earlier today I saw an article on IMDB about a country singer named Alex Williams and his love for hair metal. That name was sort of familiar and I searched through this site and sure enough, I wrote about Williams and his glam covers album called Space Brain last June.

I had every intention of checking out the full album when it was done but I just… didn’t. I mean, I don’t do country, so you shouldn’t be too surprised.

That said, when I was reminded of Williams earlier today, I did pop over to YouTube and look up his cover of Motley Crue’s “Wild Side” and Skid Row’s “Youth Gone Wild.”

The Crue cover is just odd, especially the intro. That song is not meant for acoustic guitar!

The Skids track works a little better, but still.
