Do You Still Have Your iPod?

Apple discontinued the iPod in 2022, meaning the music platform lasted 20 years.

Apparently, “the kids” are making the old-fashioned iPods popular again. According to the Associated Press, the return to iPods is to listen to music more focusedly. Basically, not letting Spotify or YouTube pick which song you will hear next, and so on. I suppose this switch back to “old” tech (that isn’t really old, but whatever) is a sign that enjoying full albums could be making a comeback.

So yes, I still have my big iPod (160GB!) - it’s the kind that has a display screen above the scrolling dial. My name is engraved on the silver backplate, too! I have so many songs on that bad boy. I can’t imagine ever getting rid of it, even though I use my Amazon Music for ease of streaming when I’m exercising or at work.
