So Halfway To Halloween Is A Big Consumer Thing Now
First, let me remind you that tomorrow is Record Store Day. Have a great one to all who celebrate.
Second, yes, “Halfway to Halloween” is real. I thought it was odd that Home Depot was doing sponsored posts all over social media for a special scary drop, but then I saw some knick-knacks and the like from other stores as well. And now Ice Nine Kills has a special “halfway” drop, featuring a… bikini.
I mean, good for brands (bands!) for trying to squeeze another buck out of consumers when everyone is already fed up with high prices. It’s kind of interesting that Halloween is so popular in America now. Like, it’s become one of the nation’s biggest holidays - and enjoyed more by adults than kids, it seems. Personally, I love it, and Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. I dig costumes and all that jazz. But maybe we can enjoy spring a little bit first?
Our beloved Alice Cooper has celebrated the Halloween halfway point for quite some time. I don’t know if he’s ever done a specific merch drop like Ice Nine Kills, but he probably should. Might as well cash in, right?
