‘Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2)”

It’s here! The Glamtastic new Ice Nine Kills video for the song “Hell or High Slaughter” from the movie Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. That’s a horror-comedy flick, which is exactly what Ice Nine Kills is all about.

Of course, in “Slaughter,” INK are pretending to be their dads as the 80s band Grave Diggler.

If you want to know the names of the “fathers” they are Cubano Cortada, Shmuel Sugarman, Sonny Charnas, ‘Shreddie’ Murphy Occhiuti and Miles Long.

LOL.

I love that the video has the exact font MTV used all those years ago and that Ice Nine Kills, er, Grave Diggler notes the track is from the album Just Busted on the Dental Records label.

Everything is here kids: strippers, a frontman with big hair, a gang chorus, leopard print, a dueling guitar solo (2:10 mark), a bar fight and so much more. The song is goofy, the video is goofy and it all made me laugh which is a very good thing for a Friday and the first day of Spring!

I doubt “Hell or High Slaughter” will show up on an actual INK album anytime soon, but this was one smart promo tool to hype both the band and the movie which is in theaters today.

Ice Nine Kills lead singer Spencer Charnas is his generation’s Gene Simmons and I mean that in a good way: the dude knows how to market and sell product.
