If Black Sabbath & Gojira Had A Baby…

I love the Swedish Metal band Avatar and their wild ways. The band is like a cross of Black Sabbath, Gojira and a little touch of 80s Glam all mixed into one. Now Avatar has a new single called “Tonight We Must Be Warriors,” and it slaps. I especially like the little medieval guitar touches (a gittern, I believe).

This new song is from the upcoming album Don’t Go In The Forest. It is due on Halloween (of course).

Previous songs “Captain Goat” and “In The Airwaves” will be on the new album as well.

The video for “Tonight We Must Be Warriors” is awesome in its weird animations and overacted hilarity.

I really want Avatar at Sonic Temple 2026 (they played the fest in 2024 but not main stage). Like, I’m ready to start a petition.
