PSA: Meta AI and Instagram
Meta (Facebook) has a new tool that allows people to steal your actual photos on Instagram to create AI images.
First off, make your Instagram private to avoid this. Beyond that, the steps to turning off AI sharing are below. This is especially important for bands and brands. In fact, I just changed the settings on the company account I manage.
But this is bad, bad, bad people. Very dishonest of Meta (I know, shocking) to just make the tool open on every public account. A setting like this should be opt-in only, and not the other way around.
Just one more reason to hate social media.
