Steel Panther Add Even More 2024 Tour Dates

Steel Panther are spending a lot of 2024 on the road it seems. The band just added a ton more dates to their On The Prowl tour. Dates include lots of stops across America before heading to Europe for festival season. Always a fun time.

Go if the band is playing near you!

Bring Back Glam! Favorite Albums Of 2023

Now that 2023 is officially over and behind us, I wanted to share some of my favorite releases of the past year.

These are in no particular order – just stuff I really enjoyed and kept coming back to, time after time. An asterisk means I bought the vinyl version, too!

  • Conquer Divide, Slow Burn*
  • Dirty Honey, Can’t Find The Brakes
  • Beartooth, The Surface
  • I See Stars, D4MAGE DONE
  • Stray View (Dave Escamilla new project), “What’s Done Is Done” (just a song but I hope the future album is just as good!)
  • Asking Alexandria, Where Do We Go From Here?
  • Steel Panther, On The Prowl
  • Attack Attack! Dark Waves*
  • Winger, Seven
  • Def Leppard with the Royal Philharmonic, Drastic Symphonies *
  • Falling In Reverse, Neon Zombie (well, really the track “Watch The World Burn”)
  • The Rolling Stones, Hackney Diamonds

The video for "Watch The World Burn" has to be the best music clip of the year, by far:

Steel Panther Cut From 'America's Got Talent'

So Steel Panther's reality TV journey has ended. The modern Glam act failed to advance past round two on America's Got Talent and they were cut from the show last night. I still have questions about the whole thing but I have decided to just go ahead and believe it was all legit from the start. At any rate, more people know about Steel Panther now and that should be good for them - and Glam overall!

That Steel Panther Performance From Last Night

Steel Panther was on America's Got Talent last night. They performed a heavily edited version of "Death To All But Metal." The results show is tonight. Let's hope they make it through to the next round!

Steel Panther On 'America's Got Talent' Again Tonight

I thought they were done with America's Got Talent because it's been weeks since they last performed... but Steel Panther are apparently appearing again tonight and asking for your vote of support! Details on how to vote for the Panther are below. I hope the censors are ready!

Yes, Steel Panther Will 'Clean Up' Lyrics For 'America's Got Talent'

In a recent interview with Metal Edge magazine, Steel Panther drummer Stix Zadinia spoke about the band's appearance on America's Got Talent and their process in working through choosing a song for the next round. Apparently, they have the song narrowed down to three choices and recognize they have to modify their lyrics for network television.

The interview also revealed that producers of AGT reached out to Steel Panther about being on the show - so there was no pre-show audition. Scheduling meant the band couldn't compete the first time they were asked. When producers called again, they accepted and admitted they didn't know the show as open to professionals. (I didn't know this either).

I am not sure when round two of America's Got Talent begins, but I'm sure the Panther will tell us in advance via social media!

Steel Panther Advance On 'America's Got Talent'

With "Eyes of a Panther," Steel Panther made it through the audition round on America's Got Talent last night. This means they will go on to compete in the next round. The winner of AGT gets a one million dollar prize.

I was amused that AGT used the fake Behind The Music documentary that Steel Panther put out several years ago. I mean, it's been awhile because Jani Lane was even in it. The band members said they've been together 40 years and really played it up like they are from the Sunset Strip era. I swear some of judges (Howie Mandel) and host Terry Crews believed this, but whatever.

The audience seemed to love the way of the Panther and that can only mean great things in our quest to Bring Back Glam. Still... what in the world will the band sing next? A Van Halen cover?
