That Time Someone Threw A Cue Ball At Stephen Pearcy

So this is an interesting post. RATT’s Stephen Pearcy shared a photo and memories of some items fans threw on stage during shows back in the day.

He writes:

You’d get bras, panties (cough), joints, shirts, shoes, brass knuckle switch blade knives, quarters, rubber Rats, you name it. Even a real severed pig head at our first Castle Donington Festival, England, a whole other story…

I never thought we were so loved that someone would throw a pool ball (the 8 ball no less), but the flying star?!!?! No shit!!

After that collection of party goods were given to me (and here’s proof I still have) from then and now I’m always on my toes.

One should never assume… but I’ll go out on a limb and guess the 8-ball was a drug reference.

I have so many questions. First, I want to know about the pig head (gross) and second, I want to know if people still throw things at Pearcy while he’s on stage? I never quite got the point of that action to begin with. I suppose fans think they are leaving a souvenir or something from that particular show, but come on.

Also, I wonder how many storage lockers are filled with junk like the items photographed below, being paid for month-after-month by rock bands?
