I love these old videos.it really brings me back.....of course..the only downside is I have to admit that I'm just so friggin old now...but having been in my 20s during the hey day of Glam Metal...I shouldn't complain..

Wow, good video from when they were relevant. Also nice to see an artist not lip-syncing on a new years eve show!

I remember being at a New Year's Eve Party in Maryland and watchin' this live in the kitchen/family room which had about 35 people packed into it with another 20 or so in adjoining enclosed porch area.

In other words, this house was meant for a PARTAY and that's exactly what was going on, though just a tad too mellow for my taste.

Of course, I had the de riguer Quasi "In Through The Outdoor" Era Robert Plant Hair and Diamond Earring thing going on and a chick to rival Keith Richards', but that's beside the point.

What I recall (barely, not because it was so long ago, but because I had already been celebrating New Year's Eve for 48 hours prior to this airing) was the countdown and then Poison coming on immediately afterward and everyone in the room losing focus...

Until I frickin' cranked the TV up to 11 once I realized what song they were playing, realizing that any drunken jacka*s like myself would get all rowdy and sing along, even if they weren't necessarily into Poison...

Well, my calculated hunch was dead on as I started raising my red beer cup and singing as loud as I could and immediately the whole room, plus the sunroom, joined in -- 55 people being drawn to the Glam Metal Light of the Television, singing along at the top of their lungs!

BRETT: "Get it in, C.C.!"

C.C.: Delivers Scorching Guitar Lead on National Television!

MARYLAND HOUSE PARTIERS: Woo-Hoo! Agghhhhhh!!! Yow!, etc!, etc! with lots of air guitar! Even the Deadheads, albeit reluctantly. Hahaha!!!

Ah, those were the days!

p.s. Look at it this way, kidz... It's not really over. Just go celebrate New Year's in Sweden next year!
