Michael Angelo Batio Plans Guitar Extravaganza

I know a lot you live in the Midwest like me and I thought you might be interested in this string of shows. Guitar fanatics will be especially interested. These special shows usually only happen in L.A. or Vegas, so it's interesting that the middle of the country is getting something this unique. Here's the release:

HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 23, 2013) - Legendary shredder Michael Angelo Batio will embark in a three-day string of exclusive shows of his multimedia extravaganza featuring the music of some of the greatest rock guitarists of the past 50 years. Batio will also be giving away an autographed MAB 3 guitar the night of the Mississippi Moon Bar performance sponsored by Eagle 102 KXGE – detail coming!

Guitar legend and virtuoso, Michael Angelo Batio, takes you on his 90 minute aural/visual journey to the different eras of rock music while playing guitars with incredible speed and musical precision. The “Tribute to The Legends Of Rock Guitar" show entails an awesome display of guitar wizardry accompanied by an equally talented band. This chronological tribute features Batio’s incredible arrangements and medley’s from the different eras of rock beginning with Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, then moving on to Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Metallica and more.

The brilliant, fast paced multimedia experience is completed with multiple video screens, incredible lighting, on stage theatrics and of course the amazing guitar work of the “#1 Shredder of all time” (Guitar One Magazine), Michael Angelo Batio. You will be introduced to Batio’s “MAB Over – Under” neck technique along with his famous Double-Guitar. Michael’s Dean “Jet” Double-Guitar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in February 2012. Michael invented the Double-Guitar and is credited with being the first person to play both left and right handed at the same time.

I'm sorry, but I cannot get through watching his videos as I'm focused of that ridiculous, fake-as-the-day-is-long, plastic dead animal thingy on his head.

Roy! There you are, my boy! Wish I could be there to see your show. Your videos blow me away!

Batio is also one of THE Greats, as two "classic" NITRO albums prove.

What's more, he is the definition of HAIR METAL as NITRO were proven to have The Highest Hair on The L.A. Strip.

Metalboy!
Why are you so obsessed with band members hair. Are you a hair dresser or something. It's supposed to be about the music not the hair. It's like you measure a bands worth by the height of their hair.

In metalboy's defense, Nitro used to flaunt that fact. It was a big deal to the band.

Plus, have you heard Nitro? Kind of hard to make it about the music when you are talking about them. Haha....

Because the image is part of it too guys! I'm with Metalboy! Yeah the first thing is the music, then your hair has to be at least 6 feet tall if you consider yourself glam from the sunset strip.
Great guitarist very underrated in most parts, I would love to go and see a show like this.

I don't care how big somebody's hair is. The music is what matters. Talking about stuff like that is something 12 year old girls do when reading Tiger Beat magazine.I could be wrong but 80's glam metal is the only genre I can think of where you could have a lead singer that looked like DR.Phil with long hair and still be successful. Klaus Meine and Kevin Dubrow pulled it off. When me and my friends talk about metal bands from the 80's the only time hair comes up is when we are making fun of the cheesy hair bands. Being called a hair band is not a compliment. It's a phrase people use to rag on metal bands from the 80's. It's a derogatory term. I find his posts very confusing cause he seems to like the music but he is constantly calling it hair metal.Which is such a slap in the face to the glam metal bands from that era that were the real deal.

Hey, Brian C.! I LOVE NITRO's music! Those two albums ROCK! Too bad Gillette turned out to be such a d*ck toward Lita Ford. Something tells me he's been like that all his life.

Bobby Sixxkiller

You are CRAZY!

Metalboy! is a 1000% right. Hair is the most important thing about metal. All I gotta see is a picture of a band and if there hair is jacked up then sign me up. Hair is the spirit of metal. You can't rock if you don't have big hair. Plain and simple metal is about image, 1st hair 2nd make up 3rd clothes 4th the music. Britny Fox, Nitro, Winger, Kix, Bang Tango, Killer Dwarfs, Trixter and Tora Tora now that's REAL HAIR METAL. Bands like those understand what metal is all about.

Bobby Sixxkiller is just clueless. HAIR METAL is the best metal. I bet he listens to those poseurs Motley Crue. He probably thinks Ratt and Hanoi Rocks are good hair metal bands. There hair wasn't even that big. Those bands don't even deserve to be called hair metal. They concentrate too much on the music. They don't know anything about REAL HAIR METAL. There music is so dull it's quite obvious big hair just makes the music pop out of the speakers.
