Las Vegas Bound

I'm off to Las Vegas today to see the Def Leppard residency Viva Hysteria Friday night! Seeing Hysteria performed in its entirety is sort of a Glam dream for me. I can't even express how excited I am about it. After I see the show, I'll post a review. I'm seeing the Boyz II Men residency as well, and I think that will be awesome too! My childhood FTW!

Really trying hard not to be negative about Joe's voice. If you can see past that, I think it will be a fantastic experience

I am just glad I saw them in the round on the Hysteria tour in '88. He sounded way better than.

I know what you mean about Joe's voice, Rita. these days, he has to jump into his falsetto voice to hit the high notes, but I think he's found a way to make it work for him as best as he can. Lots of other guys his age just dodge those high notes all together. Ally, I hope you have a blast. Vegas is a great town!!!

What a trip! Leppard AND Boys II Men?! That lethal combination might have killed Dr. Hunter S. Thompson had it been around during his Las Vegas adventures.

You are brave, Al!

Have a great trip Ally, Lord Knows you NEED IT!!! Can't wait to hear about all the details - don't forget to go get some pics playing KISS Mini Golf (haha).

Too bad you will miss Saigon Kick Friday night but oh well....

I'm watching the Behind the Music Remastered, Bad Company....F!!! FREE, BAD COMPANY (both Singers) - DAMN I LOVE THIS BAND!!!

I bet it will be a good show.

The video clips from their residency suggest that Elliot might be taking the smart route by moving around less and talking the lyrics a bit more. And having a greased up guitarist wandering around flexing also helps to visually distract from any shortcomings (his and theirs I would wager).

Can't wait to hear back on how it all went.

Hahaha!!!, HIM!

Kari! I watched that thing on Bad Company, too! I also read just read a great Zeppelin book that paints Paul Rodgers out to be a complete premadonna jack*ass! Still, he does indeed have one of THE undisputed greatest voices in Rock & Roll History.

The drummer in my band was in a band in the 60s and 70s, and played with Free. He only had nice things to say about Paul Rodgers.

Which Zep book MB? I've read Hammer Of The Gods and When Giants Roamed The Earth so far.Homey loves reading, especially bio's about musicians/bands,so if you ever need a review about a certain book, hit me up,because odds are 50/50 I may have already checked it out. LOL. As for Paul Rodgers, don't know if he's a douchenozzle or not,but IMHO, he's hands down one of the best vocalists in rock history.

"Pyromania" is Def Leppard's only true great album.

Gary, I've read 'em all and this one is THE Best:

"Led Zeppelin, The Oral History of The World's Greatest Rock Band" by Barney Hoskyns. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Hoboken, NJ, 2012
