Lita Ford Releases Video for 'Mother'

Since this is Mother's Day week, there's no better time to post about Lita Ford's new video for the song "Mother." The song is on the album Living Like a Runaway.

"Mother" is about parental alienation. I knew Lita was divorced, but I didn't know she wasn't with her two sons with any regularity. I'm sure that's very hard for her and knowing that information makes the song pretty powerful.

I'm surprised that anyone with even a passing interest in Lita or her music did not know that she is forcibly estranged from her children. Lita has been quite open & vocal about it. Hopefully her sons, James & Rocco will be able to break thru the firewall of arrogance that ass Jim Gillette has set up.
What kind of a father forcibly makes sure that children can't see, hear, or make any contact with their mother?

Hang in there, Lita.

I don't know much about Lita other than who she is and a few of her most popular songs.

How sad that in order to leave an abusive marriage (from what I read quickly), she ended up having to leave her kids behind. That must have been so painful.

I hope one day soon she is able to see her boys.

From what I understand her releasing this song on the album didn't help matters with the relationship. Now she is releasing it as a video..? I love the album as a whole though.

I don't see how her releasing a musical love letter to her sons could have damaged her relationship with her sons. Her ex, that asshat, Jim Gillette had blocked their kids from hearing it.

There is no "relationship" w/ him anymore, to damage. Not between Lita & him. He's being a jerk, and damaging their shared children in the process. PERIOD.
