This might be the oddest eBay auction ever. You can currently bid on Marq Torien's used stage pants... the price is currently hovering around seven thousand bucks at the time of this writing. The pants were worn on a major Bulletboys tour and in the "For The Love of Money" video. Check out the link to gawk. I can't imagine anyone spending that kind of dough on some used pants, but hey, different strokes, right?

I'm a huge BulletBoys fan, have been since 1988. That being said, I wonder who the fuck would pay $7k for a pair of pants. Vintage KISS costumes have auctioned for less. These pants, along with another pair and a hat (from the THC Groove video, I think) have been listed several times this year for an exorbitant amount of loot. I'm not sure what the seller is thinking, but these will NEVER move. I lost touch with Marq a few years back, but I would love to know the backstory. Hell, he might actually be listing these himself. Simply bizarre.

Don't know if they are worth 7 G's but, nevertheless, they are very cool and a one-of-a-kind work of art as the artwork is a fine example of carefully hand stenciled great graphic design. They may have even been designed by the same artist who designed the excellently iconic logo and awesome album cover graphics in, my guess, Los Angeles. Those graphics were also threaded through the stage set designs and animation segments of many of their videos.

Honestly, given the custom jeans' provenance, one-of-a-kind uniqueness and that they are a cool artifact of 80's Hair Metal, I put their value at 4 G's.

It's funny how some people see a pair of pants and others see a work of art.

p.s. My guess is Torien is selling these through consignment at what appears to be an independant vintage record store in Estero, Florida, which makes sense since Torien lives there. Interestingly, I discovered this site after learning from someone in Naples, Florida where I resided for 6 years, that Torien lived in the general vicinity of that area of Southwest Florida. Estero is about 20 minutes from Naples, located about halfway between there and Ft. Myers. When I Googled Marc Torien, the listing of this site was positioned at the tippy-top of the page in the #1 slot. I clicked and the rest is History as it is Metalboy! who you can thank for making you look at these jeans, not just as a pair of pants, but as a singular work of art and one of the finest achievements of Rock and Roll Graphic Design. If you guys still can't see them that way, that's YOUR problem. Personally, I think they are ultra-ultra cool! The Florida Lottery drawing is tonight. I wonder what size these are?

Hey MB!, The last time I spoke to Marq (a few years back) he had moved back to Southern California, after living in Florida for over a decade. However, I'm almost certain that he is still directly connected to this listing. I certainly appreciate the artistic/aesthetic value of these jeans...I even made my own bootleg pair back in the day. However, they will never sell for more than $400.

Bat! Appreciate the update. And if you re-read what I wrote, I never said he would get what he's asking for them, but simply stated what I think they're actually worth.

You guys all got it wrong. Marq has nothing to do with the sale of his previously owned pants. He lost them thru a storage unit default and auction several years back as well as his marriage and band members at the time. That's what you call really loosing your pants !!!!
