Band Splits For M3 2014

I can't believe it, but M3 Rock Festival is this weekend. I won't be heading to Columbia, Maryland this year because I will finally be moving into my new house! If you're attending the fest, you probably want the band set times. Here they are:

Congratulations on your new home. It's a very exciting time. If I knew you personally, I would send a housewarming gift, but instead, I'll hoist one in your and hubby's honor in the m3 parking lot.

Cannot wait to see all my metal friends.

Not going this year. the lineup is good, but theres just no real "wow" factor other than Femme Fatale and Heavens Edge. And they aint worth driving 10 hrs to see.

I can't wait to see heaven's edge! I'm a virgin.

The lineup is decent. They need WASP or Twisted Sister. Somebody big to headline. Hell get Poison.

Poison, yes! As I've mentioned previously, M3's promoter told a friend of mine, a reliable source affiliated with the festival, he regrets having not booked Poison instead of Brett Michaels solo.

Had he done that, the Pavilion would have been packed just as it was the previous year when RATT had a reunion of sorts as the final headliner.

TeslUGH! does not a true headliner make, though both the promoter of M3 AND that of The Monsters of Rock Cruise, insist on making them so, revealing they know nothing about Rock & Roll.

Just imagine the bands headlining last year at M3 had the promoter recalculated... Poison, WASP, KIX, Twisted Sister!

Now, you've got TeslUGH!, KIX, Sebastian Bach, Queensryche, Night Ranger.

With the exception of KIX, a no brainer, particularly for Maryland and surrounds, it's painfully obvious this dude STILL hasn't learned his lesson. In fact, he's going backwards.

At least the promoter of MORC, if the trajectory of the line-up stays on track for next year, won't be booking TeslUGH!, THE MOST boring, mundane AND mediocre band touring today, again.

AND if he scores RATT for a make good, his line-up obliterates that of M3 two years running.

p.s. As some have indicated in their Comments here, if you insist on going to M3, the action is on the fringes -- Catch Lita Ford before KIX on Friday, Heaven's Edge, Corabi, Great White (supposedly Jack is back in top form!), Stryper (off their best album since the glory days), Red Dragon Cartel, L.A. Guns, Slaughter and Sebastian Bach. In fact, for my money, the last show I would stay for would be Slaughter. They kicked azz on MORC! And why the h*ll are some of the best acts happening WAY so early?... I mean, come on: Heaven's Edge AND Corabi going on BEFORE Femme Fatale? Is that cuz it takes girls longer to put on their make up? (Sorry, Al!)

Maybe next year, folks!

I'll be going once again... I think a couple of you from BBG will be at The "M-Pre Party" on Thursday night. The club has worked out a way to ensure that anyone who wants to come to the pre-party on Thursday night will get. You can get tickets at the door if interested.

Tesla is the best band at the festival!!!! They were also the top band on the MOR cruise! Lets all pray they are headling both again next year! \m/

I'm wondering (not really) if Heaven's Edge are opening or closing? It says they're playing at 11.40PM...

This is the first time I have ever missed M3. Not a happy camper this week. I just couldn't justify it since I just saw most of the bands on MORC. Metalboy....I have to disagree on Slaughter. I saw them on MORC too. I watched 2 songs and left. I love Slaughter, and just can't handle the songs being butchered.

NC Rocker, I totaly agree with you about Slaughter! They are one of my favorites but it was brutal the way the Slaughter sound was Butchered! Notsure what Slaughter metal boy saw? Tesla was as always Kick Ass!!'n

I would have been in MD in a heartbeat on Friday...Winger's new CD came out on Tuesday, Better Days Comin'. Of course, the CD release party is Saturday in NY, but oh well...I'll be at RavenCon in Richmond, VA instead. ;)(

Good to see some of the BBG crew will be at M3 this weekend. I am flying in from FL on Friday, and this will be my 3rd M3. We should try to get together sometime Sat. for a BBG get-together. Anyone else have VIP? There's not a lot of time to stand in the ridiculously long lines for meet & greets, but the VIP deck is still a cool place to hang out. This year's lineup is not as diverse as last year's lineup, but it still kicks ass. Not a dud on the bill. Happy to see Tesla headlining. Wish LA Guns would play the main stage, or at least after Slaughter. That band still rocks, but Mark lost his voice a LONG time ago... Stryper & Queensryche always rock live. Jack Russell sounded great at last year's show. Can't wait for the weekend!

Tesla Best band on the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 26, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterKevon
Laughable! Cinderella was THE Best Band on The Cruise! TeslUGH?! Neva's hoiyd of 'em! Except they're d*cks, as demonstrated by their consistently arrogant behavior toward passengers and staff! 5 Man Acoustical Scam!

RIP, RATT!!!
April 27, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterMetalboy!
Ripper thought Tesla kicked major ass on the cruise! Got to hang with Hannon, what a great guy.
April 27, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJack T Ripper
And I saw Hannon with his guard down bein' a self entitled d*ck on MORC 3 years ago.

Where I come from, that wipes out all the goody two shoes sh*t.

But that doesn't even matter. I like Megadeth's music and Mustaine's a total a*swipe. Same with Nugent.

TeslUGH!'s biggest crime isn't the fact their total do*chebags.

No, it's the fact that, save for about 5 songs, their music is really quite mediocre. But, hey, knock yourselves out. If AOR Middle-of-the-Road Stupid Wimp Rock is your thing, knock yourselves out.

By the way, I have it on good authority, Tesla are out of the MORC line-up next year. Even the boring-azz promoter is capable of recognizing passengers don't need to be bored again, even if they're so willing to settle for less and can't even recognize they're in a total state of boredom with TeslUGH! as the soundtrack.

There's bigger fish to fry now. Sayonara, 80's Hick Rock!
