Phil Rudd's Solo Turn

Solo albums are hot right now among the bands and musicians we love. AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd will release a solo album called Head Job. The record is due August 29. "Repo Man" is the first single - here's a lyric video for the track. As you would expect from Phil, it's straight up rock n' roll.

Sounds like it could've been pulled right off of "High Voltage" or "Let There Be Rock!" I for one love it. This is the kind of shit I grew up playing!!!!

Simple rock n roll. Shows you can be any age, anytime you want to rock, just do it. My old folks home will hear stuff like this coming down the hall, saying is that a new album ? :) LOVE IT !

Mean, Lean Rock & Roll!

Pretty funny hearin' him sing about a "Repo Man', though, since I seriously doubt he's ever had to deal with on.

p.s. Thanks for the article, GNR!

GNR! Cool article, as I said, about The Top 10 Underrated AC/DC Songs. Love Sin City (one of my faves), Walk All Over You, Up To My Neck In You, Can I Get Next To You, with Problem Child as my absolute favorite AC/DC song of all time!

Ah, forgot another AC/DC song that I believe is seriously underrated...

"Ballbreaker"

One of my all-time faves!

FYI, Rudd had been back on drums with AC/DC for awhile and, for me, the original line-up really delivered the goods on the also underrated Rick Rubin produced album of the same title.

Rock'n'Roll doesn't get any more BADA*S than that song or that album!

the song reminded me right away of a slightly mellower Motorhead. this is not a bad thing since I'm a Motorhead fanatic.

It's cool, but then again, most solo adventures are not my thing. I'll stick with crankin some AC/DC. It rocks though. Don't get me wrong.

Bob, I thought the same thing when I heard it! It's AC/DC meets Motorhead!
