Hear New Whitesnake Samples

Whitesnake will release The Purple Album May 19th via Frontiers. To help build excitement for that release, Frontiers has just put out an electronic press kit for the album, complete with song samples. One listen and you can tell this is going to be killer. Definitely something I'm looking forward to - a must buy.

I could live with Mr. Coverdale re-recording a couple of tunes for the 1987 disc but a whole album? NOT buying this.

Don't know the original dp stuff. Clips sound rockin. Smacks of a bit of desperation, adding 21st century vibe to legendary music, and assuring ones self a strong album.

Idk. Count me out. But that's just me, someone who buys like one album a year now, rest is streamed. Don't bash me lol, trying to retire before I'm dead & kids eat more cash than the government only difference is I see a return on the kid investment.

One of the coolest logos in rock, that wax stamp WS!!!

Being a huge fan of Deep Purple, I am really looking forward to this. I had the wife pre order the Deluxe version.

The whole thing is getting a bit surreal for me. I've played all of Purple's catalog to death with every note so engrained in my head.

I will give it a listen to hear the stuff punched up a bit, though I really wish Coverdale and Blackmore could have met ear-to-ear on the original product.

It doesn't take much to fathom Blackmore sounding like a bit of a nutter even in the earliest stages of the negotiations.

Loved Reb Beach's Coverdale impression. That was classic.

Yeah, too bad his impressions of Blackmore aren't nearly as good, Rita.
