Quick Question: KISS Figures

I have to ask, because this is something that has always amazed me: how many of you still collect KISS figures? And if you, how many do you have... and where do you store them? Also, are they expensive?

I stopped playing with dolls a while back but I did pick up a couple of Paul figures when they first came out.

Displayed them at first and after a while I put them away. Have no idea where they went.

And they were cheap. Ten bucks tops. I've seen them in bargain bins recently.

This is a bit much. I'm not a collector though so what do I know.

When you are a KISS fan, people buy you this stuff for Christmas, birthdays etc. got a KISS "hello kitty" last year and immediately recycled said gift.

I wouldn't buy any of this stuff and encourage others not to as well, if people keep buying then they will keep making more.

There is a whole faction of KISS nerds out there who buy all these collectibles; All I really care about is the music.

I have a set of the original KISS dolls that were made in 78 or 79. I was a huge fan since I was 6, and my parents bought them for Christmas. Over the years, Peter's knee broke loose. I remember there was instruments you could cut out of the cardboard on the packaging.

If I never opened them, they would be worth a little cash. Right now, probably $150 - $200 for the set.

Not to hijack the thread, but anybody who is a reader and an early Kiss freak like I was , grab a book called "Nothin To Lose". I'm about 3/4's of the way through it,and it gives you a detailed, behind the scenes look at the formative years of the guys through the eyes of roadies, other bands, the guys themselves, managers, etc. Really cool look into the whole NYC rock scene and the national rock scene in general in the early and mid seventies, and what goes into trying to break an unknown band back in the day. Great read with some really cool pictures of the guys before they became jaded assclowns.

Haha!!, Gary... "Jaded A*sclowns", indeed.

I don't have any KISS action figures but I do have two official brass belt buckles, one shiny and one flat. Still haven't gotten around to getting belts for them, damn!
