Richie Sambora Will Join Bon Jovi At Rock Hall

Everything seems happy in Bon Jovi land right now. It looks like Richie Sambora will join Bon Jovi on stage for the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Sambora was pretty open about wanting to reunite for the special night.

Jon Bon Jovi says he wants Alec John Such to perform with the band that night too, so I hope it happens. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Cool. I'm glad they're bigger men them some inductees over the years who took their ball and went home. Richie was a HUGE part of the success of Bon Jovi, between the riffs and background vocals. I hope the original 5 do play together,as that's where it all started. Kudos to Jon for being a good guy about this. He could've Axl'd the whole thing after all..... lol

Happy to read this, not surprised. I didn't think Alec would be game, but maybe this will be an original 5 reunion. Question now becomes if the current band will get to play a song. My gut says yes.

Eating crow as we speak.

Pleasantly surprised Such is welcome!

Jon Bon Jovi is already on record saying he plans on having Sambora and Such (if he agrees) on stage performing with the current line-up.

Though it would be cooler if it was ONLY the original five, it’s obviously better than not having Sambora and Such NOT join in for the performance segment of their induction.

Let’s hope this trend pretty much established by Cheap Trick last year will continue and thus continue a sense of beginning to legitimize The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

As long as bands like Bon Jovi keep getting in before bands like Judas Priest, this sham will never ever be legitimized. I'm not even gonna start on all the other lunatic decisions that have been made over there, I would go for days. Should just be called the "how many albums have you sold" hof. Bon Jovi have never been a trendsetter for anything, and although their early music is solid, everything they've released the past 25 years has been a bunch of crap. Motley Crue even deserves it much more than Bon Jovi. And yes I know that BJ has sold more albums, but that shouldn't have anything to do with it whatsoever.

Hear! Hear!, BK! Album sales should have nothing to do with it, a concept rarely understood around here.

Believe it or not, despite what I’ve said in the past, I’m starting to agree with you that Motlëy Crüe should also get in.

Their first album alone is infinitely more breakthrough and REAL Rock & Roll than ANYTHING Bon Jovi ever produced.

Although I think it's kinda cool that Bon Jovi gets in, I think Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Def Leppard, and Motley Crue should be in before them.
But then again, the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame hasn't been taken seriously by the Rock and metal fans for years, as well as the grammys.

first off, not a huge bon jovi fan. but considering they still sell out arenas each tour, even with out sambora, says a lot about their staying power. and that can be as important as album sales, originality or influence toward the hof.

Ugh. It begins again. The RaRHoF once again uncoils its flaccidity.

Question though: will Richie drive to the show or take Uber?

So according to Stu, attendance figures count. Lmao
