Foo Fighters Announce Arena Tour

The Foo Fighters will tour arenas this summer as well. Not glam, but just a great band. The Foos will retrace the venues of their 1995 tour. Click through below to get the dates. There are not a ton of cities but a decent amount across North America to keep fans happy. I have already spent all my summer concert money but I do think this show would be fun.

Not into grunge myself but im sure this tour will do well. The one im interested in that i just saw is Korn with Faith No More, though. That will be a great tour!!!

About as exciting as that boring shot of a boring van, proving once again Dave Grohl and company are generic, lacking any real vision or ideas in their “music”. And you can sure as h*ll bet they ain’t rollin’ in that van ... Yawn ...

Not really into Korny but Faith No More! Now there’s a band that’s got it all!!! Including IDEAS!

Id like to see em come out and throw the guitars up in the air, and let them hit themselves in the head again, MB. Now thats entertainment! Ill never forget that big dumb dunce from Nirvana doing that on national television. Lmmfao

Great live band. Saw them in Lexington a couple of years ago and worth the price of admission.

Seen them twice, good band, great live energy. They covered Floyd’s In the Flesh which was a nice treat. Don’t need to see them again.

So far I’m going to:

- Motley/DL/Poison
- Sammy/WS

And I’m considering 2 of the following:

- Alice/Tesla
- Megadeth/Lamb of God
- Korn/Faith
- Primus (playing Rush’s A Farewell to Kings album)

Basileus! Take the money you would otherwise blow on seeing all the other acts and upgrade you Crüe/Lep/Poison tickets to dead center in 1 of the first 3 rows, POINT BLANK, I mean, seeing their dental work” close. Trust me, it will be worth EVERY penny, and then some!

BK, I’m with ya on Pew Fighters, however, and I know how you feel about them, I will always love Nirvana. And I thought that was hilarious when that bass came down on Noveselic ... Now, THAT’s Rock & Roll!!!

Just have to say ... any of you fellow rockers that are skipping Rammstein this summer are really missing out. That is the one must see show, you won’t regret it!

I could see Rammstein in my area at the end of the Summer.

One thing’s for sure, hands down, they have THE BEST videos out there!

I have seen the Foos. They are lively and fun. I guess. I say that because I don't get the excitement, even if I do like "Monkey Wrench." Grohl seems like an all around good dude. Same goes for Taylor Hawkins. And I would go see his cover band, Chevy Metal, again in a heartbeat. They put on a great performance on the side stage at Houston Open Air. But I just can't really get into the Foos. Lord knows, I have tried.

Rammstein . . . the German band famous outside of Germany! Always makes me chuckle. But I do give them props for their stage show and videos. They are like Laibach with an expense account (and I think they are popular in Slovenia!).

Baselius, as re: your consideration list (in order):

Alice is always good. Tesla is a decent opening act (when there are three bands);

Megadeth is always good. Dave is an acquired taste. But LoG puzzle me;

Korn should go second and Faith first. Never got the "I got punched in Hot Topic by a girl who is society which is unfair" thing with Korn. Faith I can handle in doses, as I think their creativity sometimes exceeds their listenability (but that is on me);

Loved seeing Primus back in the day at Ozzfest, winning over a crowd with a bass-based instrumental of "Crazy Train." Those Slayer fans were not in the mood . . . until then!

@Bkallday,Metalboy! I have an exciting August coming my way.. on the 12th seeing GunRoses/Smashing Pumpkins. Then on the 25th seeing the Korn/fnm show. got great tickets for both shows! did you hear that someone threw the ashes of a dead relative on stage at a "Mr. Bungle" show? :)

Re: Primus. Although not a huge fan, I will say Les Claypool is to bass as Neil Peary was to drums. An absolute monster.

They’re both overplayers, Funny Gary!

I will agree with ya on that MB, especially in Les’s case. (But hey, if you’ve got it,ya may as well flaunt it.) 😂👍

Enjoy Belly Corgan, Crued. He dresses like a well-fed Russian Orthodox priest these days. At least the stage show distracts from his NoVage-like vocals. And I say that as someone who saw them recently and thought to myself: "Man, they are great. Except, well, those vocals."

That’s always been the problem with Belly Cornican, HIM!

Great songwriter, lousy singer.

That’s why HOLE’s “Malibu”, which he apparently co-wrote with Courtney Love, was so great. She did the singing, not him!

p.s. “Belly” and “... dresses like a well fed Russian Orthodox priest ...” Classic HIM!

Thanks for the nod, Metalboy! You and I have been on opposite ends lately. But we still love each other and the sparring. Besides, I think you are a sleuth of the highest abilities. You stick to your guns, and I to mine. I know we still agree on more than we differ.

And I am still patiently waiting for my prize. There. I said it. I really want the prize you promised me years ago.

Haha!! It’s the Metal Thought that counts, HIM!
