Slash, 'Killing Floor' -- 'New' Song and Video

Slash will release a new album in May called Orgy of the Damned. The album is a new take on blues classics and the first single is "Killing Floor," originally recorded by "Howlin' Wolf" in the early 1960s. Slash's version features Brian Johnson (AC/DC!) and Steven Tyler on harmonica (Aerosmith!)

What do you think?

Slash, the iconic, Grammy-winning guitarist and songwriter, has announced his highly anticipated sixth solo album titled "Orgy Of The Damned", will be released on May 17 via Gibson Records.

That Time Slash Auditioned In A Capital One Commercial

Ok, honestly this is kind of a cute commercial: Slash auditions for a guitar spot in a local garage band. It's an "easy decision" picking Slash, just like choosing Capital One Bank. Or so says the ad itself.

Some of the comments on the clip make me want to go back to bed, though. Folks asking who the guitarist is and what song he is playing. Then people being helpful and saying things like "Guns n' Roses, a very famous band." Just... wow.

People Still Believe This Crap?

So I saw this post on Instagram because Slash reposted it. Freaking insane. Do people still *really* think horror movies and Metal music is... Satanic and/or demonic? (Click the thumbnail to view larger).

February 2022 New Music Playlist

Happy first day of March. It is meteorological spring and the time change is in just 12 days. The end of winter cannot come soon enough for me. The passing of another month means a new playlist. February saw some good releases, including work by Corey Taylor and The Scorpions. There's a new effort by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators... and I even snuck in a fresh Silk Sonic track for you as well. I hope you enjoy these selections.

I Always Love When Slash Talks Aerosmith

Slash and I have something big in common: we both love the Aerosmith album Rocks and have a special affection for the track "Nobody's Fault." In fact, Rocks is my favorite album and "Nobody's Fault" my fave Aerosmith tune. The song"Nobody's Fault" is nice, gritty and heavy and it had an immense impact on Slash and his guitar playing.

Slash recently gave a new interview with WMSC's Yaz Yilmaz where he discussed his new solo work and tour plus love for Aerosmith. A must-listen for fans of Guns n' Roses, Slash and Aerosmith.

Welcome To A Hopeful 2022

I heard someone say "Hopeful 2022" instead of "Happy New Year" earlier and I thought that was great. I'm definitely hopeful that this new year brings us all happiness and health. In honor of our beloved Golden Girl and equally fabulous guitar god, here's a blast from the past: Slash and Betty White doing a zoo commercial together.

'The River Is Rising' - New Slash Track

What do you think of the new Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators track "The River Is Rising?" The song is on the upcoming album 4. The band announced a winter tour recently but there are no Ohio dates.

I think "The River Is Rising" is a strong effort - great solo! I think 4 is going to be a rocker for sure!
