David Lee Roth Just Made A Crazy Mini Movie

Apparently David Lee Roth was bored, because he just released a mini movie where he plays a milk-chugging hero assassin. Of course, the movie is subtitled because all the actors are Japanese... and Diamond Dave only has one line... also spoken in Japanese.

Dave probably does speak pretty good Japanese as he has a home in Tokyo, but still. You just have to see this... batshit crazy and epic all at once.

Since We Just Talked About Queensryche...

Since we just talked about Queensryche... we might as well talk about Queensryche. By that, I naturally mean Geoff Tate's version. Geoff was caught performing with his version of the band in Illinois last Friday night.

Geoff's version of Queensryche released Frequency Unknown on April 23. It sold 5,500 copies in its first week... which was good enough to land at number 82 on the Billboard chart. That fact right there sort of astounds me... remember when bands had to sell just an absolute ton of albums to chart? Discuss.

Meet Tina, the amazing 14 year old who rocks a cover of the Eddie Van Halen classic "Eruption." It's clear she's been playing since she was very little and good for her: we could be watching a future metal superstar!

White Wizzard Has A New Song!

I love White Wizzard. I think they are one of the bands really carrying the torch for the next generation of Metal. I'm very pleased the band released the song "Strike the Iron" recently. It's from the upcoming album The Devils Cut, which is out June 25.

Farewell Ray Manzarek

The Doors' founding keyboardist Ray Manzarek died Monday. He was 74. To celebrate Ray's life, amazing career and the brilliance of the Doors, here's an awesome video from 1968.

Queensryche -- 'Fallout'

Queensryche (Todd LaTorre version) performed their new song "Fallout" Saturday night at the Rock Hard Festival. I think it sounds darn good. Changing singers is hard, but I think this version of Queensryche will make it.
