'She's Gone' -- New Ted Nugent Track

Ted Nugent has a new track out called "She's Gone." The big news here is that Sammy Hagar does the vocals on the song. The track is from the upcoming album Shutup&Jam! due July 8. Listen.

It'll be interesting to see what the writing credit is on this song when the album comes out. The main riff and the phrasing of the verses is incredibly similar to "Goin' down" written by Don Nix, made famous by the second version of the Jeff Beck Group, and recorded by tons of different people. I'm sure Nugent knows this.

Meh. The lyrics are just Blehh. The guitar work is phenomenal though. I owe it all to Ted Nugent for getting me into rock n roll though.

I think you all are missing the deep existential meaning found in the lyrics.

The guitar work is great, and I get what they were trying to do, however, it did not work. I rather listen to the new Ace Frehley.

Roy nails it in his comments above.

1 Take Wonder.

Total throw away and Bob raises a serious point...

This is one of the most flagrant rip-offs yet.

Yet, Kari, DJ and, again, Roy, are spot on regarding Ted's guitar work, which, in the end, is all that really matters, regardless of what I actually think of "The Motor City Madman" as a human being, which you can pretty much figure out based on my previous comments.

One thing for sure, that first record with Derek St. Holmes on vocals and guitar, is one of THE Greatest American Hard Rock albums of all time!
