Another (Late) Record Store Day Score!

Thanks to the power of the internet and people creating tools to search store inventory, I was able to locate a copy of Def Leppard’s 30th anniversary reissue of Slang. I didn’t expect to be able to get this one, so it was a great surprise when I located a store that had a couple of copies left. (I still didn’t get the Bruno Mars Collaborations - 11,000 copies of it were pressed, and they are all sold).

Slang was an incredibly important album to me when it was released - I loved it and listened to it relentlessly, even when other folks were suddenly “too cool” for the Leps.

Slang was issued in May 1996 - that fall, I would be a junior in high school. I put that CD into my car’s player and listened to it on repeat. I always thought Slang was a pretty smart pivot to the sound of the day for Def Leppard without going full grunge.

“All I Want Is Everything” is one of my favorite Def Leppard songs to this day (hate the video, though). I am really looking forward to digging into the special B-sides disc with this package.
