Another SIXX:AM Teaser: 'Lies of the Beautiful People'

Ok, now it's getting ridiculous. I need the new SIXX:AM record now.The band keeps dropping teaser clips with just a few seconds of new music to whet our appetites. Well, SIXX: AM has my full attention, thank you very much. I loved the last clip and I love this new one even more. Check it out: "Lies of the Beautiful People."

The new album is due in May.

I wonder if there really will be a Crue Fest 3 this summer? That's the rumor. There's also the never-dying rumor that Motley Crue will tour with Poison and the NY Dolls. I've heard that rumor from several different people over the past week, so maybe it will happen after all but I'm still just too skeptical to buy it. Regardless, if there is a Crue Fest 3, I hope that means SIXX:AM is on the bill. I want to hear these new songs live.

Sounds like the new SIXX:AM album will be awesome, judging from the two clips Al has provided us over the last couple of posts including this one regarding the subject.

But what really got my attention was the rumored Crue, Poison and The New York Dolls tour. Man, do I wish that could be true, but it reeks of all rumor, no fact, when The Dolls are thrown into the equation.

A great trifecta bill on paper, I just can't see the overall neanderthal Crue/Poison audience (don't get me wrong, I'm one of the neanderthals, too!) getting The Dolls. I think "people" in the audience would be like, "What the h*ll?", most of them never having heard, let alone, seen, The Dolls before.

Besides, do you really think C.C., or Brett, for that matter, would ever let The Dolls on the bill, when they would run the risk of having audience members being able to flag licks, riffs and hooks left and right that Poison lifted directly from The Dolls?

Still, maybe all of this consternation is all for naught. A "Poison Crue Tour" with or without The Dolls, who I love dearly, don't get me wrong, would be a huge success.

Talk about a way to "Bring Back Glam!" this summer! It would be a h*lluva show, for sure!

p.s. I wonder if M3 could just fold the "Poison Crue Tour" stop in the D.C./Baltimore area into their festival held at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Now thesr are the kind of headliners Kari's talkin' about for M3. Whitesnake and the already confirmed acts, Pretty Boy Floyd, Faster Pussycat and L.A. Guns compliments this rumor well.

p.s.s. I swear I will put up my list to accompany my comments on Brian C's "The Most Mediocre Metal Albums I'm Supposed To Hate But Can't" post this weekend! I'm sure you all are just waiting, "eyes peeled", at your computers for that. Not!

p.s.s.t. Wasn't this supposed to be all about Sixx:AM? Oh, yeah. Houston, there's gonna be a problem if your gonna talk about Poison and Crue in the body of the text of a post about something else and expect me to focus on the "something else" part. Nevertheless, I also do look forward to very much the imminent release of the new SIXX:AM album... Zzzzzzzzz!!!...

Don't know about Cruefest at M3... But ROKLAHOMA is looking very possible.

Speaking of M3: Stay tuned for a very cool Thursday night pre-party with a great band or two. Sssshhhhh.. Be very, very quiet.
