Nelson Celebrate 25 Years Of Their Debut

Slag if you will, but After the Rain is an amazing album. If I lived closer, I'd go to this show!

No slagging here. A catchy tune is a catchy tune. Fans should go.

I will slag that poster all day though! "Americas #1 Duo!" According to? Love it !!!! Great bleach streak of blondness right smack dab in the middle saying..."remember this girls?"

They been waiting 22 years for this moment.

"Love & Affection" was a slab of pop songwriting perfection. There was a whole lot of really good songwriting & playing on "After The Rain". Sadly, one of their best tunes got left off the record... "Keep One Heart".

A great first album that I played a lot. Not sure what happened to them after that.

I love this album. Solid catchy pop songs.

I always thought the song "After The Rain" itself was one of the catchiest tunes to come out that year. Still play it regularly on my iPod.

80's Cheese Pop Perfection. You could tell from day one, these two have no shortage of confabulated ego, probably tellin' each other how great they are since they could talk. Nice guys, though. Met them on The Monsters of Rock Cruise.

But let's face it, riding on the coatails of their legendary Dad AND the long strands of their still gimmicky blonde locks, these guys were ALWAYS a bit of a joke, just ask Beavis and Butthead.

Still, there's no denying their string Powerballad hits and pseudo Hair Metal romp, "More Than Ever".

Kix Chix is right to flag down there poster, too. I'm going to speculate (my favorite pastime), since they are twins with most likely a 50/50 business relationship, in order for them to keep from killing each other, they delegate a lot of decision making.

That could also possibly be why they NEVER did anything of note after their first album. And why the copy of the above poster reeks of plugs from a longtime smarmy manager type, maybe even leftover from the career handling of their legendary Dad.

I mean, you guys don't really think these guys talk about themselves like this do you? -- "America's #1 Duo" and "... their continuing journey as champions of an entertainment dynasty".

In reality, that dynasty stopped after their first album.

Also, once again, Thanks, Ace, for the info we might not have ever known had it not been for you, in this instance, "Keep One Heart".

After the Rain was a great album! When they first came out with the video for After the Rain I was telling friends they were going to be the next big ballad type band similar to Journey. It's a bummer they just kind of faded away after that first album. If this show was here in Michigan I would have immediately bought tickets to check them out and cross them off my concert bucket list.

Too bad 2014 is only the 24th anniversary of the album. Haha. It's still a great one though and the guys sounded great the last time I saw them. If you've never heard any of their post-'ATR' work, such as 'Imaginator,''The Silence is Broken,' or 'Lightning Strikes Twice,' do yourself a favor and hunt them down.
