Enuff Z'Nuff To Use Jani Lane Track On New Album

Enuff Z'Nuff are releasing a new album. One of the songs on the album will feature Jani Lane. It's not clear if the Lane track has been released - or even heard - before. Apparently it's one of his final studio recording sessions. The new Enuff Z'Nuff album will be released in the fall.

Hi Fellows,

Sorry, but Enuff Z nuff without the unique voice of Donnie Vie is another band. Sorry Chip, but is the true. Also, with the dead of Derek and Ricky Parent, a little enforce to put togheter the two core and founding members is required,,, Donnie & Chip

i don´t understand these ego things in this type of bands

Sorry for mi bad english & regards from Buenos Aires!!!

Here is some info I found on the MelodicRock.com message board:

The song is called "The Devil Of Shakespeare" and was (only) released with the book (with the very same title) by Billy McCarthy in 2004 already. (The CD was in inside the book and fits the mood of the novel perfectly!)

It is a very cool song which I liked a lot back then and still do.
The Enuff Z'Nuff connection is Chip plays bass on the song (Billy played Drums for D'Molls back in the day and knew Chip from the LA days)

So to say "one of the last recordings" by Jani Lani to a 2004 session in the info from Frontiers records seems a little weird to me. (After that came Saints of the Underground afaik ?)

Here's the song:

(JY from Styx plays guitar btw)

Jack, I think you mean, "from the Chicago days"... They all came from the Mid-West .

*Trivia: Billy was in a band called "Kid Rocker" around '82 that for a short time included KIX guitarist Ronnie 10/10 Younkins during the short time he bailed on Kix during the "Cool Kids" phase. We all lived in the same apartment build across the street from the Whiskey A Go Go and... the other semi-famous inhabitants of the building at the same time?? Vince, Nikki , & Tommy from Motley Crue, & adult film star Trinity Loren.

Enuff Znuff was once a great bluesy kick ass band. But I saw them live about four years ago and they sounded horrible, and we're the most boring act I've ever seen. There was about thirty people in the beginning and maybe 10 people were left at the end. The 5 or 6 local bands blew em off stage.

Yeah Ace, I didn't notice that part was incorrect. I didn't write it, copied from a message board, but I should have noticed and corrected it - certainly should have known it wouldn't have got by this group (ha, ha).
