Bon Jovi Release 'Limitless' Single

New music Friday! Bon Jovi has a new song out called "Limitless." It is from the upcoming album 2020, due in mid May. Bon Jovi will tour this summer in support of 2020. I would love to see them, but they are not coming near me and I do not want to spend the money to travel for the show.

Lasted 55 seconds. Same “Its My Life” style crap.

It's what is to be expected from Bon Jovi "these days". Ever since New Jersey, there's been a notable shift from "glam" type rock to softer rock and even pop.

Keep the Faith was OK with a few songs I liked like "In These Arms". These Days was terrible. Crush at least had "it's my life" and the underrated "just older". There is a real gem on Have a Nice Day called "Last Man Standing", and since then it's been nothing I'm interested in.

I don't blame them at all for what they're doing. it's gotta be quite interesting to go to a BJ show these days (I haven't been to one since the Crush tour) because there is musically a big difference between the early stuff and later stuff. I'm curious if the crowd basically sits and hums along to the new stuff, then stands and goes wild for the Slippery stuff?

No Sambora, no Bon Jovi!

Agree 1000% with Metalboy. Ritchie did play on the last BJ song I liked (Last Man Standing).

Funny how in some bands I can accept a change in a key band member ... like in RATT I can accept them without Warren, and I can go see Tom Keifer without the Cinderella band ... and I even enjoyed ADCD with Axl, etc.

But I would NEVER go see BJ without Ritchie ... Poison without CC ... Crue without Vince ...

You all remember the VH1-era with John Tesh and Yanni, when it was a soft music epicenter? That's what this song makes me think about. But good for them, expanding their demographics and Jon's leather-fringed wallet.

House-boy: "Hey Jon, Emilio called." Jon: "Who?"

I bet their show is like Opera Night in Spokane these days.

Good for them? Good for sh*t!

Same with RATT without DiMartini, Blotzer AND Cavazo (I would say, Crosby, but RIP).

Same with Kiefer without Cindrella.

Though I do agree with ya on Crüe ... Neil is SO far gone, if they can’t get him to pull his sh*t together, they need to pull in a replacement and not Corabi. How about that dude from Junkyard? As great as that band is, let’s face it, he was always kind of a Vince Neil clone. If not him, maybe that Crash Dïet dude or that guy from Reckless Love or somebody.

But I DO agree with ya on AXL/DC. They were actually BETTER with Rose than with Johnson!

Metalboy!, Neil is from the classic era, he is an original. No SCABs with him. So you have to love him unconditionally, right?

It has to be the originals, except when it isn't. It can be new player, esp. when we want a change. Originals matter more. But wait, the classic era is what counts. And when I say classic, I mean someone like Scott or Johnson, until I mean someone new like Axl, who is then replaced by Johnson again. That is going to suck, right (no less because those plodders like Williams and Rudd are going to drag things down)? The same ole same ole . . . I want something new and magical and innovative. That is what I expect from AC/DC, etc.

So sign my petition: I don't want The Who to tour or record unless Mandy is behind the kit. You see, there you have the genes, and the pedigree, so who cares if she can actually play drums. And Portnoy is ready to step in, since Peart can't anymore. It is a done deal, Sully says so!

I am going to recycle a comment I made many moons ago: if you take the position of being a moving target, you haven't taken a position. Slippery when wet, indeed.
