'Naughty Naughty' -- (No, Not That One)

Thanks to Sirius XM I was reminded of a song I'd completely forgotten. "Naughty Naughty" by John Parr popped up on Classic Rewind this morning during my commute.

I was like, "Welp, this is sort of new to me." AS I listen, I decided there was a little scoop of Glam in the track for sure. No, it's nothing like the Danger Danger song of the same name, but it is still good. What do you think?

How have I not ever heard this before, either?

Ah, Allyson, wouldn’t everything in the world be better with “a scoop of glam”, as you put it.

Perhaps it’s the gang vocals in the song that are triggering your Glam Radar, haha!!

In any case, no doubt this song would be a great candidate for glam metalization, if only one of our heroes would cover it.

I've always loved this song, I'm glad you've discovered it. I'll take this over "St. Elmo's Fire" any day!

like, totally 1984. almost every mtv cliche is there, but catchy. parr is one of those artists i never heard or remember it’s his song if i did hear it. i will say the early appearance of lisa rinna was a nice touch.

Ditto, Nancy.

This was in fairly heavy rotation while Parr was having his "St. 'Chest Hair' Elmo" moment of fame (even if it was released prior to that hit, and was the reason he was asked to write for the film). And he sorta' limped on from that point, releasing more than a handful of other "film" songs to less and less acclaim.

But the dude is still out there doing his thing. Good on him. You take the breaks you are given . . . even if they are naughty, naughty. Hey, take it easy!
